My self-summary
Well, I think I dislike self summaries more than the rest of this. I'm working as an engineer for a local company doing some pretty awesome isht. Maybe I'm overhyping and maybe not. Either way, I work and try to maintain sanity while being uber responsible.
What I’m doing with my life
I can't believe the last 3 years have passed so quickly from job to school to job. Going from the workforce to school living (and budget again) is stressful but seems to be worth it so far. Now I get some spare time to work out, concentrate more on people/friends in my life and possibly do something other than study. I've recently purchased a house and looking to stay here in Tucson for the foreseeable future. There are quite a few things which have grown on me these last few years and encourage me to stay.
I’m really good at
Cooking? I can make some badass stuff. Camp food has never tasted so good.

Finding my way? I hardly ever get lost. Yes, really.

Asking for directions? Actually, I'm really good at finding stuff when I'm not oblivious. However, part of my repertoire is that I know when to ask for directions.
The first things people usually notice about me
Easy demeanor. I've been labeled as an old soul or something akin to one by more than a couple people. Perhaps they're on to something.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: More sci-fi and fantasy, and Palahniuk. I've really enjoyed the Song of Ice and Fire series. Dune. Neverwhere. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Fight Club, Rant, Pygmy.

Movies: I can do just about anything. Action. Comedies. Drama. As long as it's done well or so poorly that I get entertainment value from it, I'm fine.

Shows: It's probably the same list that people keep posting. On hand it gets old that the same list keeps getting posted. On the other, these shows can be pretty good. GoT, Dexter, The League, Sons of Anarchy, Walking Dead, etc.

Music: Lessee...I've seen Muse, Rodrigo y Gabriela and Silversun Pickups this year among other bands. In the last month I've seen Cage the Elephant, Grouplove and bands at KFMA day. I tend to stay away from country pop and hip hop.

Food: I eat just about anything. However, I've gone more toward paleo these last couple months. I didn't think I'd enjoy it but I'm making it work.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I'll be doing in five years from now and who it may be with. That's right, I'm thinking about you. You!
On a typical Friday night I am
Relaxing, either at home or seeing friends. I don't mind being a homebody after a long week at work. I enjoy getting up early on the weekends to hike, bike or just get stuff done around the house. You know, stuff I don't normally get to do during the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not as young as I used to be. Yeah, my body isn't old but it's definitely not 24.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 26–45
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
Honestly, it feels like quite a bit in life has changed. Nothing monumental of course but things can change slowly to the point of being hardly noticeable. Now it feels like most of my friends are spending more time at home with the family, one good friend has moved away and another plans to move away soon. Taken together, it means I'm looking for new friends! (lucky you!) However, on the off chance something bigger happens with a girl to complement me, that may be even better.

Oh, and please have something more to say than "What's up?" It makes things awkward.
