My self-summary
I'm a native detroiter... somehow crunchy and urban at the same time.. trying to strike a balance in all things.
I returned to Washington from Michigan a couple of years ago after grad school and am now at the public library after working in an oral history archive for a while. I'm grateful to have worked in some interesting places and now be providing a really useful service.

I am still listening, still knitting, and still here
What I’m doing with my life
After working at an oral history archive at the Library of Congress, I'm a librarian at the DCPL... pretty interesting stuff actually. Always trying to figure out what my life's going to be like in DC this time around. Glad to have lots of friends around (including one god-daughter) to hang out with.

I read, see movies, knit, laugh with my friends. I like to cook but have less time for it these days. The past few summers I canned vegetables and fruit for the first time. I'm glad to have gotten connected to the local food scene in DC and have a plot in a community garden.

If you're a DC reader, try out The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears. Great novel about DC.

My photos are good ones of me, but you probably figured out that I'm rather thin of the hair under those hats. Not that private really.
