My self-summary
I'm just a laid back girl looking for a partner in crime. I'm smart, funny, kind, and generally lean left of centre politically. I dig the arts (music! film! galleries!), reading, and writing. Not a gym junkie at all, but I'm in pretty good shape, and I love the outdoors. I'm a total animal nerd, too. Somewhere in the middle on the introvert/extrovert scale, maybe a titch more towards the introvert side - but love meeting new people and gaining new perspectives. I'm easy to talk to and usually wear my heart on my sleeve. I'm an INFJ if you're into that Myers-Briggs stuff. I find it spookily accurate.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a Registered Veterinary Technician, which is my second career. (That's like a nurse, an x-ray technician, a dental hygenist, a laboratory technician, and an anesthesiologist rolled into one...where the patients are dogs & cats). I spent ten years working middle management office jobs before I got the guts to go back to school for something I'm really passionate about, and it was the best thing I could have ever done.

I'm also a dog trainer, which is actually much more about teaching people than it is about teaching dogs. It's extremely rewarding and a lot of fun.

I usually have some sort of volunteering going on also - I have various causes I'm deeply invested in.

My last year has been mostly about work, and I'm getting the travel bug now, pretty bad. I have done some travelling in the past and miss exploring the world.
I’m really good at
listening!
giving support!
following my gut!
teaching!
relating to people!
dreaming up big ideas!
organizing things!
bringing people together!
The first things people usually notice about me
This I'm not sure. I guess I'm shy at first but when I open up - watch out! I have a bit of a sarcastic sense of humour. I look much younger than I actually am.
