in many ways i am an old school Homosexual. i like fashion, decorating, and opera, i can cook and sew, i can be cavalier about pronouns, i dress in drag on halloween and i'm GOOD at it, i can quote "all about eve," "the women." and "mildred pierce."

i have a certainly nostalgia for the fay dandy of the 60's.

on the flip side, i'm out and proud and don't care who knows it. i have my own developing sense of style and individuality that i nurture and cherish. i can knock down a wall, change a light fixture and build a barbeque grill. ain't afraid to get dirty and sweaty and sometimes leave the house wearing that!!!???

i've recently moved back to san francisco from living in berkeley for 10 years and am slowly learning to enjoy the city again with the subconscious tug of the bart schedule.

making people feel at ease; creating a well rounded and complete atmosphere; taking control if the situation needs it (and happy to) but very easy going and receptive.

i really have little idea, it's hard to be objective about these things. i hope it's my irreverent sense of style and fashion and the economic and graceful way i move through the world. but it's probably my long and luxurious hair, tho i am so much more than a hairdo. or this week's permutation of facial hair. and my generally ill fitting trousers. i'm sartorially hopeless below the waist.

my favorite food is absolutely pizza. i have an amazing, astonishing capacity for pizza. after pizza comes almost anything. i very much enjoy vietnamese food. i love anything that's savory, gooey, warm, and comforting. and i can eat the same thing everyday if i like it.

my go to dvds are: (the new) pride and prejudice; fifth element; sleepy hollow; mildred pierce. the disclaimer here is these are some of the movies i own and i have seen them so often that i really don't have to watch them anymore, they are like visiting with old friends. other favorites are (cocteau's) beauty and the beast, sudden fear, all about eve,

librarily, i'm currently curious about fan sequels to pride and prejudice. i read a lot of fantasy/sci fi. recently i like china mieville, neil gaiman, george martin.
