My self-summary
I love danger but I also love safety... as a result I'm very complicated.

I'm a pretty laid back guy. I try not to take things (myself included) too seriously and I'm not easily offended by much.

I have 2 dogs and they're a huge part of my life. They're really friendly and loving but you have to like dogs because they're not going anywhere (well, you only have to like dogs if we end up dating. If we don't, feel free to like or dislike whichever animals you choose).
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an art teacher, it's awesome. I do a lot of volunteering at my school as well (sports, the arts etc.)

Unfortunately I lost the ability to travel on a whim when I rescued my dog so that's unfortunate but totally worth it because he's the best.

I volunteer with kids and animals in different ways and with different organizations. Right now I'm chillin at the Human Society once a week walking giant slobbery dogs or tiny chihuahuas I love.

I paint custom sneakers and I'm working on a workshop teaching underprivileged or sick kids to custom paint sneakers (that sounds like I can't make up my mind but I'm working on workshops for both).

Renovating my house. Always renovating...
I’m really good at
- painting/drawing
- telling kids their art is terrible while simultaneously not hurting their feelings and making them understand they can get better (seriously, it's a skill)
- reading people
- sarcasm
- cooking
- awkward dancing
The first things people usually notice about me
Sometimes people look at me and tell me that "I clean up nice" which I think is a little insulting to the way I look normally (right?). Probably my glasses

People also say that I remind them a lot of Seth Rogen but I also feel like that's not said in the best way (i.e. Seth Rogen the movie star)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love reading fantasy/fiction (Song of Ice and Fire, Wheel of Time, Hitchhikers Guide) and I've been reading a lot of non-fiction books recently that focus on motivation, focus, intelligence and emotional intelligence... so that I can psychologically manipulate my students into trying harder

I love comedies (without laugh tracks), sci-fi/fantasy, thrillers and action shows
Shows: Breaking Bad, 30 Rock, The Office, Parks and Rec, Community, It's Always Sunny, Archer, Game of Thrones, Firefly, Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire, Sons of Anarchy, Supernatural, Luther, Arrested Development, Justified, Mad Men, South Park, Friday Night Lights, The Americans (some of these have ended or been cancelled

Movies: way too many to list. Really love sci-fi, comedies, action, drama and documentaries

Soul music (Motown, Stax etc.) is my favorite kind of music but I listen to most anything as long as it isn't country or angry metal... If someone suggests it I usually give it a listen and a fair shot. I used to have a really long list here but let's face it, you're not here to read a full essay on my musical tastes are you? I really dislike U2

Love food... maybe a little too much? Don't really eat grains or dairy that much but everything else is fair game.
The six things I could never do without
Family, dog, friends, books, music, good food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I would do with super powers
On a typical Friday night I am
Eating dinner with my family and then going out/seeing a show with friends. Or staying in recovering from the week by relaxing and catching up on tv/reading/painting).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I watch youtube videos of puppies because they make me smile.
You should message me if
You find me dashingly handsome from my profile pictures or you share similar interests and think we would connect (hopefully it's both because if you think I'm ugly that's not gonna go over so well).
