My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Virginia bred, California cultured, renegade bureaucrat
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I like to think that I'm going to live to be 100, so that means my life is 1/3 over. The first third was the fucking around, figuring stuff out part. The second third is going to be the productive, making stuff part. The last third will be the fun, hanging out part (I'm pretty psyched about being old).

At the moment: exploring this enthralling city and state, living in my childhood dream house (it has a turret!), figuring out how not to be afraid of being creative.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've given up on being good at two things: waking up before 8 AM and being less than 15 minutes late to everything.

Things I *am* good at: remembering what I read, taking care of unlovable animals, pulling off short skirts, putting off things I ought to be doing, navigating via the sun, choosing restaurants for other people to go to, making costumes, organizing camping trips, citing articles from the New York Times
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I guess not my height, because people are always shocked to learn that I'm 5 feet tall.

Probably my manner of speaking, which has often been compared to Daria, Janeane Garofalo and other monotonously witty heroines of the '90s.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
hot drinks, sunny spots, spiral-bound notebooks, black roller-ball pens, steadfast friends, & a horizon to keep my eye on
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What it means to be happy and how to become the person I want to be. Why I even bother tuning in to KCRW when every 5th song makes me change the station in disgust.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing anything from passing out immediately after work to staying out until 3 and getting up to go hiking a few hours later.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Most nights I share my bed with my cat, my phone and my banjo.
