My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Yes, I'm a Yank.
But at least I drive a stickshift.
I would rather go blind than deaf.
Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year.
I really dislike fluorescent lights in living spaces.
I have driven across the US -- twice.
I love making breakfast in bed :-)
I believe that people really are intrinsically good, and that love really does conquer all.

Allergic to cats, grammar, or open minds? Move along, nothing to see here. (Update: seriously, guys. I will not respond to "How r u." Just will not.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living in London! Have got past the honeymoon phase at this point, now finding an equilibrium between bashing around the city and beyond, and working enough to fund said bashing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-baking. Prepare to gain weight, ye of little self-discipline.
-putting together mangled sentences in upwards of three languages. I studied linguistics, but never progressed beyond an intermediate level in any specific language course.
-sarcastic/deadpan wit. Then again, this usually results in misunderstandings and the need to awkwardly explain what I really meant, so perhaps you could say I'm really bad at sarcastic/deadpan wit.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hm -- maybe my hair? For better or worse...

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. People...
2. ...and a place to get away from them now and then
3. Computer/Internet (sad, but true)
4. Music, and/or a good book
5. Green places, or at least easy access thereto
6. A half-decent kitchen. I spent two weeks in a hostel without an oven once and it almost drove me crazy (resorted to baking cakes in the microwave).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
why everyone on here insists that they enjoy living life "to the fullest." Is that even a proper word? Have you ever heard it used outside of the context of how someone enjoys living life? Did your mother ever tell you to take out the trash because the bin was "the fullest"?

Okay, so I don't spent *that* much time thinking about this. But it's worth these eight or so seconds, wouldn't you say?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
if not working, then doing things with people I like. Thumbs-up to dinner (out is good, home-cooked is better), swing dancing, or something silly like bowling or karaoke. Thumbs not-so-up to clubbing, excessive alcohol consumption. Thumbs-down to clubbing baby seals.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have this really bad habit of whistling along to classical music.
