I'm really into politics but I make it a point never to vote, and I'm proud of it. I don't want to be responsible for anyone else's trigger-happy policies. I think if everyone took all the effort they put into elections and used it to plant a garden or talk to their neighbors or ride a bike this country would be a more fantastical place. Don't give me a lecture about how I should move to Russia and get a job clubbing seals at the gulag in order to teach me the true value of freedom.
I try to grab whatever inspiration I can from social movements in Latin America. Once I lived in the countryside in Guatemala and now I like to lie in bed and listen to the rain when it first starts because it sounds like the slapping sound of hands making tortillas before the sun rises.
I'm also pretty interested in synchronicity, lucid dreaming, harmonica, old-time radio, coin tricks, gravitational anomalies, gardening, caves, hash browns, urban exploration, ,kung fu, freeing Palestine, spontaneous human combustion, werewolves, houseboats, survival skills, tearing down the prison-industrial complex,
independent media,handstands,and sledding, to
name a few things.
