I'm a Brisbane Lad, who departed our shores, & lived in Europe for 10 years:
This has had a HUGE impact on me. Holland was my home for those 10 years, where I completed my Masters degree, & then built my career after graduating.....As life can bring change, in hast, I returned to Brisbane, for family reasons.....I do feel that my time in Europe is incomplete.
During those years away from Australia, I experienced the varying cultures of Europe, (& other parts of the world too). This occurred either directly, by spending time in the countries outside of Holland, or indirectly, through the many lives of fellow University students, or the family members that became my students. In my profession, I'm an educator, & I communicate with my students & their families, daily.
I have returned to Brisbane with a completely different view of the world, & of Brisbane too. I have developed the ability to communicate with people, with a very open mind, with sincerity, & compassion.
I like to hear people's life experiences, to share the energy and emotions that life brings to us. I crave conversation & the company of like minded people.
Since being away from Europe, I miss the changing of the seasons that occur there.........those months when it is required to wear winter clothing, at the time when nature dramatically changes.......Then, the return of life, with the dawn of the Spring season! It is truly remarkable to witness & be part of, & here in Brisbane, we don't get to see this.
Now that I'm back in Brisbane, since January 2014, I continue with my career, and I share my experiences with my students and other professionals, in the desire that it may bring some new elements to our profession.
I'm a genuine, friendly person, and like most of us on this dating site: I look forward to sharing my journey with an equally, friendly, motivated, & caring person.
