I am creative, introverted, and weird.

My Self-Summary

I am in a committed Polyamorus realtionship with a wondefull woman 'Lydia-h' (on cupid). We are both looking and hopefully one day will add a 3rd or 4th to our lives together.
Okay, I am another one of those people who never knows what to say about themselves, but once I get started telling stories-watch out.
I play music whenever i get the chance as it helps to relax me and it pleases me, but as importantly I love to see others enjoy themselves and music is the one thing i've learned to create that makes others smile (or cry, or think or whatever).
I have learned that the reflection of others is what tells me what is right.
Name an old song and I'll play it for you.

What I’m doing with my life

Listening to Kinks singles every day, it's great.
Taking care of people, rehabing my old s----y house, and making it accessable. Writing and recording songs. Watching a cat curl up on my guitar case.
Oh, mostly making things to make life better for others.

I’m really good at

Singing old songs, and being schmaltzy.,
Figuring stuff out, at least in the real world.
Redesigning the wheel, each and every day.
Being foolish.

The first things people usually notice about me

The beard (currently going on 2 years) with only 2 trims in that time. My eyes. Oh guess i still plod like a paperboy when i walk.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Lets see;
Books; The Mote in gods eye, The gulag archipeligo, you know defining a favorite book is catagorically wrong. I love books, even bad ones with horrible intent teach us something about humanity.
Movies; The day the earth stood still (the original), Shortbus, Casablanca, The African Queen (really any Bogey film), Sci-fi (preferably old b-grade schmaltz).
Music; THE KINKS, Beatles, Django, (almost anything, the only stuff i turn off is disonant freeform, one note has to make sense following the last).
Food; ah my weakness, I am an Omnivore, I love different foods. Currently I am trying to learn a bit more about Indian food, and curry is great these days.

The six things I could never do without

my guitar, people i love, air, water, my work.
i guess food would make six.
How's that as a basic list.

the only poem as such that i truly respect;

Above my desk is a copy of IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Things, oh so many things. Working to be a better listener.

On a typical Friday night I am

Well it used to be watching BBC, but life has been turning a lot lately, and getting more interesting. So, there is no more typical. I hope it keeps changing!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I did inhale, once.

You should message me if

You know what Poly is, and are not bothered with the concept.
You Vote.
You would like to talk, or sing, or drink coffee, or play 3d chess, or all of the above. (with me, maybe)
Or just for the hell of it.
