My self-summary
Well, I've never felt like I quite fit anywhere perfectly, which is not to say that I don't have a great group of friends that I love and feel comfortable with. However, I often feel misunderstood outside that cirle. Lately I've noticed that people easily project there own beliefs on me; a lot of people I meet assume I like what they like or hold their political/religious beliefs until I specifically state my own. Especially if I meet and get to know them in situations where those things don't immediately come up, like work. I don't know if this happens to everyone or not, but I've gotten a good number of shocked faces from acquaintances who were sure I was they happen to be lately.

I have an English degree, I want to go into publishing or library work, and I love Bret Easton Ellis, Fitzgerald,James Joyce, and Edith Wharton. I love country music and NASCAR. Tony Stewart is my favorite. The country music I am talking about is of the Waylon, Hank, Willie, Johnny, George, and even Conway variety, not your Shania by any means. If you think country music is depressing, the only thing I have to say to you is that I have never wanted to kill myself more than when I was forced to listen to Metallica for an hour. I am obsessed with The X Files, I have the logo from the movie tattooed on me. I like the Ghost Hunters show on Sci Fi. I don't like Buffy or any other sci-fi stuff. At all. (This is changing...sort of) I took 3 yrs of Japanese, but please don't try to talk to me about anime, I can't stand it. I actually make myself miss out on a lot things I would probably like...but if I feel like too many people tell me how great it is...or especially if someone I don't particularly like or think has bad taste tells me they think I would like it..I get in a state of mind where I don't want to see/read it ever...prejudicial? probably...but my life won't end if I never watch Lost or read The DaVinci Code...and I've never liked something and then decided I don't like it becasue other people like it...so, whatever...deal with it...

I am intellectual, liberal, and off beat
What I’m doing with my life
By most standards, not much...but I'm happy with it...
I’m really good at
I'm good at being ferociously annoyed by random things and people...I'm good at writing I guess...I think my handwriting is quite nice...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Rules of Attraction - Bret Easton Ellis, I read this book all the way through at least once a year and pieces parts randomly. You know that movie that you always watch when you hate your life and you know every line and watching it somehow makes you feel 100 times better, even if its only for an hour and a half...yeah, that is what Rules of Attraction is for me...only in book form. And if you've only seen the movie in all it's horribleness please don't judge me by that...and for that matter if you thought the movie was awesome don't judge me by that either...take your little friend Dawson and go back to TV high school drama land. I also like, Dubliners - James Joyce, The great Gatsby - Fitzgerald, "A Good Man is Hard to Find"- Flannery O'Connor...ok that's a short story but I don't care...Twilight Sleep - Edith Wharton...lots of other books too...I won't lie I practically worship the damn things

Movies: Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, Return to Me, Spellbound, Made, The Godfather, Rushmore, etc. etc. etc.

Music: Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Conway Twitty, Randy Travis, Miranda Lambert, Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash, Shooter Jennings, Hank Williams, Kris Kristofferson, Dwight Yoakam, Tanya Tucker, Loretta Lynn, Ricky Skaggs, Mel McDaniel, Don Williams, Hank Williams Jr., Beck, Weezer, The White Stripes, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Beastie Boys, etc. etc. etc.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about weird things that will never happen...I routinely walk into the bathroom expecting to find a dead body in the shower, and what I would do if I did...I'd call 911...I also think about strange situations that could result in my being arrested...I think about how awesome it would be if David Duchovny left Tea Leoni for me because he became psychic and it drew him all the way to Ohio to find me...I wonder why Adam Carolla got his own show, and if he was the lead guy from the Man Show, why is Jimmy Kimmel so much funnier...you know...all the normal stuff people think about...I'm really pretty boring...
On a typical Friday night I am
Out/In with my friends...maybe drinking maybe not...or if I'm feeling anti-social in my room blaring all my favorite songs with a couple beers...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was in third grade I had my first celebrity crush...Donatello of the Ninja Turtles...now...it is very important to note that it was not the cartoon version of Donatello, but the guy in the suit from the live action movies...I used to daydream about him standing by my desk and helping me with my homework and tests...
