My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just relocated to Toronto, from Minneapolis. Moved here for my job, but on the personal side I'm really looking forward to the city as well. There seems to be a great art scene here, and a really vibrant neighborhood culture. I've been in transit for the last few years, so having a place I can call home for a while will feel nice.

I spent most of my adult life in Minneapolis. But, a little over three years ago I moved to Bangalore, India and spent a couple of years there, working like a fiend and traveling like an even bigger fiend. Then I moved back to Minneapolis for a temporary assignment (where I again traveled a crazy amount), as I geared up for my current Canada gig.

I like to laugh (who doesn't), and often do so at completely inappropriate times. I have friends that I find endlessly entertaining, and a family that I love. My job keeps me pretty busy - sometimes too busy. But it pays the bills, and has allowed me to travel the world, so I feel pretty lucky. I have a sharp sense of humor (read: sarcastic) and believe that you can find comedy in just about anything. I have an opinion about virtually everything, but I'm adult enough to admit when my opinion is completely ridiculous and/or obnoxious. I'm a bit of a pop culture junkie (movies, obscure music pod-casts, the BBC, Joss Whedon, etc). I can be a bit of a loner at times; I'm the guy that goes to a party and sits on a couch reading a magazine. That said, when I do get close to people, I love spending time with them in ways both simple (think movie matinees or drinks at a dive bar) and grand (think travel adventures around the globe).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working for the man. Slowly becoming the man, in point of fact, though much to my chagrin. Trying to learn my way around Toronto. Spending hours staring at my over-sized world map concocting absurd travel plans. Catching every movie that I can; something I missed doing in India (though in India I did get to drink in the theater, so there were some perks). Trying to go for a run every single day, but secretly hating it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Doing research, making plans, and getting those plans completed. Snark. Reaching things on the top shelf. Buying shoes. Strolling around museums. Discussing the merits of different travel books. Sneaking into movies. Eating dessert, chewing gum, drinking cider (sometimes all at the same time).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height. On the plus side, that usually makes spotting me amongst a crowd pretty easy. On the negative side, I bang my head into WAY more stuff than I care to admit.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Travel... places I want to go, when I want to go, and what I want to do once I'm there. Furniture... replacing all the stuff I gave away when I moved away to India (FYI ~ finding a good couch is surprisingly hard). Retirement... scheming legal ways to start my global-vagabond days just a little bit earlier. Napping... I swear to god there is no place that I can't fall asleep.
