My self-summary Propose an edit
I am a global nomad, American by nationality, but lived all over
the world. I volunteered for Barack Obama's campaign and am
overjoyed he won! I’m eternally optimistic. I am laid back, patient
and low-maintenance. I am passionate. I love children; working,
playing, and teaching them- it keeps me grounded. My favorite smell
is clean laundry, particularly downy sheets. I love traveling. I’m
not a planner. I love to laugh. And I love to figure people out.
Family is
incredibly important to me. I am a very loyal friend. I have a
strong sense of right and wrong. I hate violence. I am romantic. I
try to live simply. I am spiritual. I love people watching in
airports. I love to be outside in nature. I’m a cuddlier.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I'm living in Brussels, Belgium this year teaching 3/4/5 year olds
at an international school. I have 18 kids from 14 countries. I
love going into school every morning.
In July I’ll be moving to Portland, Oregon for graduate school.
I’ve never been to Portland, but I know I will love it. :)
I don't see the future as a fixed destination. Instead, I see it as
a place that you create out of the choices that you make right now.
And so I am discovering
my future one choice at a time.
I believe we are all connected. We
are individuals, responsible for our own judgments and in
possession of our own free will, but nonetheless, we are part of
something larger. Some may call it the collective unconscious.
Others may label it spirit or life force. But whatever your word of
choice, I know that we are not isolated from one another or from
the earth and the life on it. And I believe, if we are all part of
a larger picture, then we must not harm others because we will be
harming ourselves. We must not exploit because we will be
exploiting ourselves. So, I try and make the world a better place.
