My self-summary
I'm a computer nerd and gamer, who enjoys biking, talking to friends and reading. I grew up in the suburbs, moved to Chicago for college and decided I like it here.

My current main hobby is finding interesting movie/TV/video-game props 3D printing them, then painting them. My collection is still small, but it's fun to work on. I'm also taking improv classes, because it's fun.

Oh, and last time I checked my Myers Briggs, I'm an introverted, intuitive, feeling, perceptive with Love Languages quality-time and physical touch. I also enjoy deep, thoughtful conversations.

I'm increasingly operating under a philosophy of positive contribution. If someone wants to be part of something they need to positively contribute to making it happen. People who veto anything must provide a workable alternative. Failure to propose an alternative or work toward finding and communicating an alternative retracts the veto as well.
It applies to me and the people around me.

I've also accepted what the OKC blog said: "Basically, people are exactly as shallow as their technology allows them to be." and I say that fully understanding that I'm no more of a special exception to it than you, dear reader, are.
What I’m doing with my life
Traveling to the future one minute at a time and making the world a stranger place by being in it.

Otherwise, I work as a software developer at a Chicago electronic document signing company. I spend my time playing games, surfing the web and talking to friends.

I like riding my bike as a means of transit, still, because I otherwise dislike exercising.
I’m really good at
Listening, empathizing, playing games, being sarcastic but not picking up on other people's sarcasm. Troubleshooting problems with computers.
The first things people usually notice about me
I look like I just biked here.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is primarily a representative list of things I like.

Books: Rubyfruit Jungle, Caiphas Cain: Hero of the Imperium, Fuzzy Logic, Pattern Recognition, Spook Country, Zero History, and Dresden Files. I mostly stick to Science Fantasy or Fantasy, with a few exceptions.

movies: Mad Max: Fury Road, Shawshank Redemption, Batman, 13th Warrior, Secretary, Perks of Being a Wallflower

Shows: The West Wing, Babylon 5, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Mythbusters, Scrapheap Challenge.

music: Punk, Rock, Ambient, Electronic, most anything that I can play in the background.
Deus Ex - Siren Synapse (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOddfPsN_70)

Food: tend toward vegetarian, not too spicy, willing to try most foods once. My diet: "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants."

games: Boardgames: Settlers of Catan, Revolution, Firefly boardgame; Videogames: Invisible Inc., Deus Ex, Quake, League of Legends; RPGs: Fiasco, Don't Rest Your Head, Fate.
The six things I could never do without
my bike
(video/board/role-playing) games
A computer
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why do people post pictures of themself and 1-5 other people on OKC? It's cool that you have friends (or take pictures with strangers), but is that really the goal of your profile pictures?
Bonus points for pictures with people of the opposite gender or at weddings.

What are the odds of putting together a fun role-playing game group through OKC?
On a typical Friday night I am
Ideally, hanging out with a fun group of people. Books, movies, shows or just watching a sunset are also options for me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I find ankle length skirts attractive on women and I don't know why.

I want to set my Religion to "Agnostic Extremist" but it won't let me.

I take relationships slowly and like to get to know someone before becoming very physical.
You should message me if

- You're traveling through space and time on a 6,580,000,000,000,000,000,000 ton space ship that's powered by a fusion power-plant so big and bright It's visible from light-years away and you think it'd be cool if humans lived on a different spaceship ship one day too.
