genuine, intuitive, and perceptive
My self-summary Propose an edit
I'm an avid nature lover, always interested in seeing new places,
traveling and trying new things. I enjoy exploring differing
viewpoints, solving difficult puzzles and learning. I am witty and
very open minded. While a bit shy, I am extremely sincere and try
to be direct in expression. I try to see the best in others and
appreciate people for who they are. I am supportive of and loyal to
my friends and family. I am happy with who I am and will be glad to
find connections with good people, but as an independent person,
that is not my driving force.
I am a gentleman by upbringing and by choice. I honor my
commitments and take responsibility for my actions. I always mean
well and I stand apart from most guys because of this. If it seems
otherwise, please ask for clarification. I am confident of who I am
and try to be consistent in behavior. I fall and make mistakes and
am far from perfect, but I stay true to my ideals and
commitments.
With a thirst for knowledge, I strongly believe in life long
education. Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
I don't waste time on regret, but am conscious of my decisions and
learn from my experiences to do better the next time. I strive to
better myself and those around me, seeing each new experience as a
chance to grow. Life is not just about finding yourself, it is
about taking responsibility for creating yourself.
While not religious, I live in awe of the natural order of our
beautiful world and I respect the beliefs of others. I don't
subscribe to any particular religion, but I adhere to a moral code
that I have built by taking the best from the many philosophies and
religions I have studied and my own experiences. I am a highly
contemplative person who isn't afraid to consider the possibilities
of anything and leave myself open for new paradigms. I entertain
many new ideas without having to accept them as my own. I don't
think it is possible to know the world as it is, but it sure is fun
aspiring to clarify our muddled perceptions. I like to have my
paradigm proven wrong. I believe there is something bigger than
humanity, but our current religions are means for control rather
than guides to truth.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I've been working as a software engineer for over a
year. I make it a point to enjoy life a bit every day, be it
learning something new, dancing to some music, reading an inspirational book,
encouraging a friend or just stopping to smell
the flowers. Some of my recent activities include ballroom
dance lessons, McGuires running club, roadtrips, meeting fun people
and running around finding interesting things to do.

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
Dinner out, seeing a live band, a movie or a little
dancing. Other common things are a road trip, relaxing at the beach
or just curled up with a book and some music. I pretty much do my
own thing, but if the company is good, I'm up for about anything.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I really like to dance, but hate painfully loud music. Is that a
paradox?
I think games are meant only for the card table, computer or
bedroom. Head games are for the eternally adolescent.
You should message me if Propose an edit
you think we might have something in common, click or you just want
to make friends with someone new.
Or...look me up on Myspace(most of my profile
comes from there and changes slowly filter into here)
I'm mainly here to meet and socialize with good people. If my
profile interests you and you're looking for a friend (not a
fling), feel free to send me a message! I like to meet a variety of
people. I like real people, those who don't feel they need to hide
who they are. I prefer to spend my time with people with the
intelligence for quality conversations, wisdom to make the right
decisions and civility to behave with dignity in trying situations.
I am generous with my time and myself, so I like friends who can
appreciate me for being me, not just what I can do for them. I
respect candor and expect the truth at all times. In a friend, I
prefer people who are considerate of others and can act like an
adult.
In a woman, I am looking for someone who enjoys the little things
in life, smiles at children and is able to laugh at themselves. I'm
looking for someone compassionate with which to share feelings,
ideas, experiences and life. I am very honest and expect the same.
I don't play games, just live my life to the best of my ability. If
you're interested in me, be direct about it, don't beat around the
bush. I'm looking for a woman who knows how to open her own door,
but doesn't mind a gentleman. I am my own person with my own
interests so I'm looking for someone who wants a stable
partnership, not a codependency. She needs to understand that a
healthy relationship takes commitment, good communication, honesty,
trust, and lots of hard work, not just feelings. I have a number of
interests that I'd like to share, but I expect you to have your own
as well.
Important: I am not a religious person. I have built my own strong
morals and life philosophy from studying many religions and various
teachings. If you think this makes me a bad person because I do not
pray to your particular sect's special guy in the sky, do not waste
your time telling me I need Jesus in my life.
