I am a "seeker"...of new ideas, interesting people, knowledge, and solutions to problems. I'm a thoughtful and educated woman who commits herself to whatever is in front of me. I'm indepedent, in that I'm able to take care of myself, and run a successful small business, but I also appreciate chivalry and am incredibly passionate about my personal relationships. I like to gently touch my partner's hands or arms over dinner, and I enjoy and welcome random small acts of physical affection from my partner, as well.
I have traveled around much of the world, and in doing so I've discovered many things about who I am and the resilience of my spirit...that I don't think I would have if I hadn't been placed in unfamiliar and (sometimes) uncomfortable foreign situations. This clear sense of self has afforded me a quiet confidence which I have noted is (sadly) "off-putting" to some. I wish that wasn't the case, as I welcome getting to know others (both similar to me and different from me).
I love to laugh...really LAUGH...at the absurd moments life presents. I love observing others, as well as myself, and I appreciate the differences, as much as any similarities. Our differences really are the "good stuff" in life.
On appearance: It certainly IS part of chemistry, but I tend to remember how someone made me feel the first time we met, rather than detailed physical attributes.
Finally, nice guys (who can be confident, but not arrogant) typically finish first in my book. So, make yourself known. ;)
