Well, I'm getting back into the dating scene after a bit of time off...I like to try new things, meet new people, but have found an excuse lately to not. But no more!

Other things you should know going in -- I randomly quote songs, tv shows, or clever things people have said. So, if you say anything clever or profound, I may have to borrow it. (Don't worry, I give credit!)

I also like the word circumlocution. Note that I don't like circumlocution as a practice, just the word.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm pretty much in a good place - I love my job, I have a great family and a great group of friends. So, even though things are going well, I'm at the point in my life where there's something missing. The reality is, you've gotta put yourself out there!

So specifics...I work in administration at a local university, I have about 18.75 really good friends. I'm pretty close with my family.

listening. And I'm pretty good at being honest.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Most of the time, I read non-fiction - history, current events, social commentaries. I used to work at a book store, so the collection got a tad out of hand. Some favorite books: Truman, There Are No Children Here, A Personal History, Lord of the Rings, pretty much anything by James Patterson (quick and easy reads!) Movies - I'll watch almost anything, except a Julia Roberts flick. Don't ask me why, I can't explain it. Music is pretty diverse, my iPod has everything from Dropkick Murphys to Mozart, from Pat Benetar to some folk.

The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about

On a typical Friday night I am

doing pretty much anything - i might go out after work with the coworkers, meet up with friends for dinner and drinks or bowling, or might just stay home and get caught up on my netflix queue.

I was fired from being an altar boy. (It's not nearly as sordid a tale as you're imagining.)
