Well, I'm getting back into the dating scene after a bit of time off...I like to try new things, meet new people, but have found an excuse lately to not. But no more!

Other things you should know going in -- I randomly quote songs, tv shows, or clever things people have said. So, if you say anything clever or profound, I may have to borrow it. (Don't worry, I give credit!)

I like Ansel Adams, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Albert Kahn. (Albert Kahn mostly because he's local and I work in a building he designed. It's very cool.)

I also like the word circumlocution. Note that I don't like circumlocution as a practice, just the word.

I am fun, witty, and a tad geeky.

I'm pretty much in a good place - I love my job, I have a great family and a great group of friends. So, even though things are going well, I'm at the point in my life where there's something missing. The reality is, you've gotta put yourself out there!

So specifics...I work in administration at a local university, I have about 18.75 really good friends. I'm pretty close with my family. I love traveling, even quick weekend trips up north are great. My favorite place is the Leelanau Peninsula in northern Michigan, right outside Traverse City. Lots of hiking, wineries, and relaxation!

Not sure what I want to do long term. As I said, I love my job, and I love what I do, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I plan on being there for the duration. Open to new possibilities.

I'm good at avoiding playing cards. Very good at it. But, a dice game, well, I crumble. Bunko!

My eyes or my laugh.

Most of the time, I read non-fiction - history, current events, social commentaries. I used to work at a book store, so the collection got a tad out of hand. Some favorite books: Truman, There Are No Children Here, A Personal History, Lord of the Rings, pretty much anything by James Patterson (quick and easy reads!) Movies - I'll watch almost anything, except a Julia Roberts flick. Music is pretty diverse, my iPod has everything from Dropkick Murphys to Mozart, from Pat Benetar to some folk. As a random aside, I love gadgets. They're just plain fun.

a lot of things. I think, long and hard, about most things. Until I make a decision, then I move on fairly quickly. I figure I can deal with the consequences (if any) when the actually creep up.
