Anyway, I work a lot and love running outdoors whenever I can. Have been somewhat of a home body as of late, but mostly because my apartment's so comfy and I read a LOT. I love witty banter and doing nice things for people without their knowing it. I prefer take out and a movie to loud bars, usually. I like to think that I'm constantly learning how to be an adult. Fuck it, you're not even reading this, you're looking at my pictures, ha!

Not-for-profiteer by day, tireless defender of gotham by night. Also, a singer, a runner, and a rower. I have my shit together. Anyone wanna ride bicycles across the Rockies, scuba dive off Zanzibar, or backpack across the subcontinent with me? I'll settle for a road trip to the west coast...

I've been called a good writer before, I guess, though it's been years since I've had to write an essay about anything. I'm also great for knowing stupid trivia and giving obnoxiously blunt advice. You should probably consider that a warning.

Definitely the hair. And I'm loving what my first few grays are doing to it. My mother had a Susan Sontag streak in the front for about a decade before everything else went white. I would love to have one of those.

The free classics section on Kindle is ah-mazing. I am fascinated by crappy infomercials, but the TV is usually background noise to whatever I'm reading. Favorite authors: Tolstoy, Garcia-Marquez, Austen, Hardy, Tolkien, McCarthy, Kingsolver.

I'll give any movie a chance, but I think that horror flicks are a waste of time. Lincoln reminded me of how the British put all of their best actors in their period pieces. Cloud Atlas was totally worth it. Les Mis was mostly worth it. I'm convinced that parsing movies into multiple parts like they've done with the Hobbit is just an attempt at gouging the moviegoer. Music is mesmerizing, but for the life of me, I think my brain isn't wired to hear the lyrics of pop songs. Ethnic foods are great, especially Indian, Chinese, and Ethiopian, in that order. I love trying new foods for the first time. Oddly though, the texture of cheesecake weirds me out and I can't handle it.

Y'know, profound, sometimes pretentious existential shit. I should never be left alone with my thoughts.

...already dreading Monday morning. And maybe a happy hour? Usually cut out early so I can get up early on Saturday and run or do yoga.

Sometimes, commercials make me cry. Especially if there's a voice-over by Donald Sutherland. Don't know where that comes from.
