I'm the simplest complex person you will ever meet. I think I have
a good head on my shoulders and am ready for some relationships
with depth. I'm not generally afraid to call people on their bull
and I feel like that only makes my conversations more fun.
I once had someone describe me as "THAT guy." He never explained
himself, but I decided to take it as a compliment. I live my life
with a healthy dose of crazy always floating just under the
surface. Life is meant to be enjoyed, and I make sure I do so
everyday. I'm the guy who goes out and spends money on legit cowboy
boots and shaves a handlebar mustache when you invite him to the
country bar for your birthday, just to make sure you have a good
time. I go drunk jogging and skinny dipping on family vacations.
I'll equally participate in conversations about how awesome Ke$ha's
latest album is and the historical development of the Obama-phone.
I'll "thug out" for a rap concert, just cause I can, and then come
home and read the autobiography of the first woman parliament
speaker of Afghanistan. I think it's important to be educated and
informed on issues you're going to open your mouth about, but that
doesn't mean you have to be boring. I come from an incredibly
sarcastic world where nothing is off limits and you have to have a
quick wit and foul mouth if you want to survive.
I play in adult leagues of recess games like kickball and dodgeball
and spend every Wednesday night getting my knowledge on at Bar
Trivia. I can honestly say I love everything about my life. The
only thing missing is someone to share it with.
What I’m doing with my life
The short answer: I'm putting on a smile and seeing where the wind
blows me. The long answer: I am jumping in to be self-employed as a
Travel Director doing on site logistics for corporate meetings an
conferences. That's a fancy way of saying I'm an adult babysitter.
I get to travel which is great but I do miss seeing my friends and
family as frequently as I'd like to.
I’m really good at
laughing. At myself, at you, either or. Life is funny, why not
The first things people usually notice about me
if they see me, it's usually my smile... if they hear me coming
first it's usually my laugh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm one of those people who enjoys things for what they are. Not
every book is going to be a best seller, nor will every movie win
best picture, but that doesn't mean they don't have some value to
add. 'Bitter is the New Black" will never be classic, but I enjoyed
reading the memoirs of a sorority princess turned pauper in the dot
com days just as much as I enjoyed the religious commentary laid
out in the His Dark Materials trilogy. I use at least one Mean
Girls Quote a day, but that doesn't mean I didn't love Life is a
House any less. Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Charmed were terrible
shows that I love just as much as HBO's Newsroom.
I'm one of those weird people who enjoys music, but doesn't LIVE
for music. I rock out to the 90's Pandora Station and call it
I love food. period. all of it. period.
The six things I could never do without
A family, a cozy bed, a decent kitchen, a challenge/project, my
integrity, and... I think that's it. Does that make me low
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How misplaced the 20 somethings of this generation are. I almost
wrote a blog after graduation called "Funemployment: A Post-Grad's
Guide to embracing your F".
On a typical Friday night I am
I am anything but typical... but it almost always involves booze
You should message me if
You're funny and can have a good conversation. If you think being
gay is about more than theater, pop culture, and who you saw with
who at the club last weekend, we might just get a long. If you
can't take a joke or don't like sarcasm you probably won't like me.
