My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi I'm John and I live just outside London in Hertfordshire. I'm a friendly, smart and open-minded guy who loves to laugh. I'm hoping to find someone with similar interests to share some fun adventures with, but isn't everyone?

Although I don't live there currently, I dearly love London and it would be great to meet somebody to hang out in the city with and explore, or maybe just to chill out with in a cool pub or cafe somewhere. And as well as all the typical things I love photography, art, science and history, so it would be great to find someone to go to a gallery or museum with too.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I work in a college as a science/photography technician. It's pretty great! the students are really cool and I get to mess around with dangerious chemicals, plus we have a huge darkroom to play with!

I'm also a freelance photographer on the side as well sometimes, but it's not a full time gig for me or anything. Eventually I'd like to move onto something more serious relating to photography as I really enjoy it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh, photography (or at least I like to think so), teaching, procrastinating, cooking, video games.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My impeccable fashion sense.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Music is a big deal to me, I'm all over the place in tastes though. I pretty much like a bit of everything from almost every genre (with a few exceptions of course). Most of the time I find myself listening to Indie, Electropop, Alternative Rock, Classic Rock, Shoegaze and Post-Rock. As well as a bit of House music. But I also like Hip-Hop, Jazz, Folk and Classical as well.

Oh I should mention I'm a bit of a metalhead as well. Mostly Black Metal, Death Metal and Grindcore these days but I still enjoy the classics.

If I had to pic my top 10 favourite bands/artists right now I'd have to say: Radiohead, The Raveonettes, Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, A Silver Mt. Zion, Carcass, Anaal Nathrakh, Agalloch, Altar of Plagues but I change my mind on this all the time.

Recently I've been also listening to a lot of PJ Harvey, Lykke Li, Lana Del Ray, CHVRCHES, sleep ∞ over, Grimes, Purity Ring, Crystal Castles, oOoOO, How to Dress Well, Boards of Canada, My Bloody Valentine, Asobi Seksu, Boris, M83, Alcest, Ulver and Japanische Kampfhörspiele.

What it comes to books I've been a huge Terry Pratchett fan since I was a child, although I don't generally have a huge interest in fantasy fiction otherwise.

With Movies I love sci-fi and horror, especially when the two are combined. The original Alien is still one of my favourite movies of all time and I quite enjoyed Prometheus as well. Other movies I like include Blade Runner (I love cyberpunk!), The Matrix, The Thing '82, Moon, Children of Men, District 9, Terminator 1 & 2, Ghostbusters 1 & 2, Das Boot, Dark Star, Star Trek II, Starship Troopers, Robocop, Back to the Future, Jacob's Ladder. Oh and of course The Lord of the Rings movies!

I also am a bit of a geek and like some anime as well, lots of Studio Ghibli of course but I discovered movies like Akira, Ghost in the Shell and Patlabor 2 when I was a teenager and I still enjoy them.

Although I don't watch a lot of TV these days but I've been keeping up with Game of Thrones (of course). I also liked Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes a lot and still rate them fairly highly. But more than anything else I seem to enjoy British sitcoms: Black Books, Spaced, Father Ted, The IT Crowd, The Inbetweeners, Red Dwarf, Monty Python, Blackadder, Bottom and The Young Ones (RIP Rik) are the ones that come to mind. And naturally I enjoy some comedy panel shows like QI and Nevermind the Buzzcocks. Oh and some stand up is great too. Stewart Lee is my hero!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Camera, Friends, Music, Tea, Sleep, Jalapeños.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Likely chilling out, playing video games or sleeping, I'm more of a Saturday kind of person to be honest.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I recently broke my ankle! So I'm doing everything on crutches on the moment. Not a very fun fact unfortunately!
