I am light hearted, goal oriented, and spontaneous.
My Self-Summary
I'm somewhat new to Massachusetts and adapting to life up here.
Coming from Texas, things are pretty different, but I like it so
far :)
I'm a big fan of trying out new things. Only being 22, I like to
think I'm still figuring out who I am and what I like. So I'll give
pretty much anything a shot if an opportunity presents itself!
What I’m doing with my life
I just graduated from school and started a new job in my field. I
love it because every day is different! Some days it's pretty
stressful too though, so I'm keeping my options open and holding
off on grad school for a little while until I figure out what kind
of degree I might like to pursue. Other than that, I'm usually just
hanging out or trying to plan my next trip.
I’m really good at
finding the humor in things and rolling with the punches. Some
people might say this is a passive way to move through life, but I
like to think of it as more productive. I take the bad with the
good, but I'd just rather spend more time smiling than dwelling on
things that can't be changed.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: I'm reading a book by David Sedaris right now- he's
hilarious in a quirky kind of way. I like Khaled Hosseini's books
and John Steinbeck. I've been reading a lot of work related books,
mostly on autism spectrum disorders; some of it's pretty boring,
but some of it really helps at work. Oh, and I have a soft spot for
Calvin and Hobbes :)
Music: Honestly, I listen to a lot of country music, and I know
that's not everyone's favorite up here, but lucky for me, there's
still a country radio station! If it's not country, then it's
usually pretty mellow stuff. Miranda Lambert, Sugarland, Luke
Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Jack Johnson, Citizen Cope,
Patty Griffin...
Movies: I love comedies; anything that can make me laugh is totally
worth watching :)
Food: I'm a big fan of tex-mex; I'm all about good salsa verde and
killer enchiladas con queso, but I'm still looking for a good place
in Worcester.
The six things I could never do without
1) laughter 2) my family and friends 3) holidays 4) new adventures
5) coffee 6) good music
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what I'll be doing in the next year. Or what I'll be doing five
years from now. I think right now I'm pretty focused on going back
to school and work-related things, but eventually I think I'll
start to also consider what kind of family I might like to have and
where I'd like to end up living later in life.
On a typical Friday night I am
deciding whether I'm up for going out or just wanting to stay
in.
Thursday nights are my bum nights because it's when my work week
ends, but lately, I've been going out a lot on Fridays. I think I'm
ready for a few more low key weekends now though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I was proudest of myself when I studied abroad in Scotland. I was
totally out of my element, having never been in a foreign country
before, but my concerns about going were more thrilling than
frightening. In the end, I had a great time while I was there and
left knowing that I could probably survive travelling to another
country on my own.

I like to think that people are always changing and that there's
probably something we can learn from each new person we meet.
