My self-summary
I enjoy staying active, throwing a frisbee, playing pickup games, hiking, kayaking, etc.

I hate the winter and love it hot. There's no such thing as too hot or too humid in my book. I lived in Atlanta for a year and loved it.

I prefer natural air and like to have my windows open as much as possible.

I love sports. Hockey is my favorite and I am a die hard, albeit foolish, Caps fan. I also enjoy MMA and football.

I'm a total adrenaline junkie. I like to drive fast, I want to get a motorcycle, I've been skydiving, I want to go bungee jumping, etc.
What I’m doing with my life
Work-wise I am a computer programmer. In my spare time I am working on mating my clownfish.
I’m really good at
Cooking - I wish I had the time to spend all day in the kitchen. I love everything from prep, to sauteeing, to grilling. I really enjoy making new foods and playing with ingredients. I once made bagel bites from scratch. But lately I've been trying to remove processed foods from my diet.

Organizing - On a nice rainy day I can turn my apartment upside down and have a perfect place for everything I own. I'm also a big fan of data organization, building databases, and code organization.

Finding Creative Solutions - They say there's no one right way to solve a problem, but there are definitely better ways. But being better for one problem is not always better for other problems. Coding, and many things in life, are all about tradeoffs, and finding the best solution for your problem always involves some outside the box thinking.

Marine Aquaria - I'll just warn you now, if you bring up anything about the ocean, I will probably bore you to death with lots of things you don't want to know. My siblings like to cut me off with "Fish, fish, fish, fish, fish".
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyebrows and eyelashes. I have a blonde splotch on one side.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - I mainly read text books, research papers, and nonfiction science books. I also enjoyed On A Pale Horse and His Dark Materials.

Movies - A lot, but a couple favorites are Super Troopers, Step Brothers, Sweeney Todd, Interview with the Vampire, Blades of Glory, Labyrinth, and many more.

TV - Dexter, old South Park, River Monsters, Game of Thrones, Burn Notice, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Futurama, Master Chef, and more.

Music - The Eagles, Metallica, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Seger, Tom Petty, Dropkick Murphys, Alestorm, The Doors, The Mamas and the Papas, and a whole lot more. Pandora is my best friend.

Food - Pretty much everything except mustard. I really love sushi, lobster, sea bass, steak, bacon, and so much more. Grapes are my favorite fruit and carrots my favorite vegetable.
The six things I could never do without
Sight
The ocean
Rain forests
Coral reefs
Warm weather
Hot showers
I know it makes seven, but I have to add Soft Scrub to this list.
And since my migraine frequency has been sharply increasing lately, I need to add Advil.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Space, time, new inventions, scientific pursuits
On a typical Friday night I am
This completely depends on the week and your definition of "night". Most of the time I am hanging out with friends, but other frequent events include working, studying, and sleeping.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I find the sound of chewing food to be unsettling.
