My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have loved nature all of my life. I pursued an education in Environmental Science, not to become an objective scientist, but to better understand that which I love. I have been hiking and camping since I was a child and consider time spent in nature as an expression of my spirituality. Buddhism brings me peace and tranquility and is so much more intuitive and meaningful than the alternatives. Reading is a vehicle for education, self discovery, and enlightenment. I love movies that transport me to another place and time, that inspire me, make me weep and/or cry, or just mindlessly entertain me. I love all things scifi/fantasy. I love Star Wars, LOTR, the Dresden Files, Neil Gaiman, Anne McCaffrey and Mary Stewart. I am happiest when I write. Since I was a small child I have been fascinated by the ability of the printed word to transport me into worlds far away in space and time. The power of writing, its ability to draw out the most primordial emotions, is one of the most awe-inspiring forms of art.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am seeking an agent for my first novel, while writing a documentary mini-series and a second novel. I am spending time with family and friends, reading great books, and making quilts.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am really good at..writing, though not about myself, apparently...

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The six things I could never do without are my books, my cat, my family, writing, and love. Alright, that's only 5, but I'm low maintenance.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about politics, environmental issues, social justice, why my cat won't get off my lap, how to find balance between my social life and craving for solitude, and the meaning of life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On a typical Friday night, I might be spending time with family, engrossed in a new book, watching a movie, or out with friends.
