You can see that I'm petite, and I like to keep myself in good shape. I'm long-limbed relative to my height and don't weigh much, so I don't want anyone heavy - it matters if I'm underneath! The artist I model for is a fan of my clavicles and rib definition, but I'm not skinny as such and I'm curvy in the right places. I make no apologies for my short hair - the received wisdom is that men usually prefer long glossy tresses, but I know mine suits me and I like it that way. My style is on the alternative side, but not hippy, more Fairtrade and vintage. It's also quite a sharp look, because of my hair - I don't do pink, floaty or girly - and it can be rather androgynous at times. Boots feature very prominently in my wardrobe, and I love natural materials, especially leather. I'm always in minimal maintenance mode when I'm walking or trekking, but I take care to be well-groomed and can look elegant when the occasion demands it. I'm aware of my posture, and carry myself with confidence.
I think of myself as a pagan because I feel such an intense connection with the earth and its energy. That might be anywhere in the world, but especially here in Northern Europe, where I am always aware of the changing seasons; I love the buzz of city life and its cultural embarras de richesses, but my heart is in the country, living with the constant cycle of fertility and regeneration. That's what all the old songs, festivals and rituals are about - it all comes down to sex in the end. My personal philosophy is to be kind to others and try not to hurt anyone, and I'm totally honest and direct. I love the open spaces (the Peak District in particular), so I stay fit and in trim by walking, dancing and healthy eating. I'm a linguist by training, and I like spending time abroad, especially France and Germany, although more recently, further afield. Also, anything arty, mythological or archaeological (cairns and stone circles, anyone?) and warm weather when I can enjoy my sports car with the top down!
I'm basically serious-minded, and I can get very passionate about humanitarian and environmental issues, but I'm creative and have no problem lightening up. I'd say my sense of humour is on the witty side - I appreciate word-play and sharp wit in others (I never miss Sandi Toksvig on The News Quiz). It can also be pretty off-beat and anarchic - I do love the surreal and the absurd, and mourn the passing of Hoffnung, Beachcomber, Jacques Tati and Spike Milligan. And Steve Bell is in grave danger of becoming a national treasure. (Which tells you that my politics are definitely left of centre.)
I should add that I have a predilection for dressing up in black and white, including make-up. This obsession with all things monochrome, however, is not part of some arcane ritualistic or fetishistic cult, nor yet an indication of my deviant sexual proclivities, but a perfectly acceptable and (relatively) innocent activity called Molly dancing. (Sorry, guys!)
