My self-summary
Hey there. Thanks for stopping by. I'm originally from Nashville, TN (yes, I do like a little bluegrass and I wish I could play violin or banjo) and I've been in NY for almost a year and a half now. I moved here for work in the photo industry and before that I lived in Japan for a bit. It was unbelievably awesome there, but I can officially call NY my new home now. I'm into music and can play a little guitar and I love finding cool spots for live music in NY. (Any suggestions?) I'm a bit of a foodie too and would love to meet someone who is as jealous of Anthony Bourdain as I am (He gets paid to travel the world, explore, and eat!). I'm still pretty new to NY so I like exploring the city and finding out what it has to offer. Basically just looking to have fun and get to know new people be it romantically or through friendship!
What I’m doing with my life
Working in fashion photography, managing an art studio, learning Italian, eating and a bunch of other awesome stuff.
I’m really good at
knowing random trivia, playing Catch Phrase, using chopsticks, singing, darts, fixing things.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I'm currently reading a book called Tokyo Vice which is a true story about an American reporter in Japan who got caught up with the Yakuza. A few past books I really enjoyed have been Great Expectations, A Beautiful Mind, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Stephen King novels.

Movies: I LOVE MOVIES! I have too many favorites but a few that I could watch over and over again are...
Back to the Future, The Avengers, Inception, The Dark Knight, The Bourne Movies, Lost in Translation, Walk the Line, Cashback, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Ghostbusters, The Wedding Singer, Monty Python & the Search for the Holy Grail, Zoolander, The Ring, Snatch, 28 Days Later, Life is Beautiful, Life in a Day.

TV: I don't watch a lot of TV these days, but when I get a chance to catch an episode of something it'll most likely be Anthony Bordain: No Reservations, Kitchen Nightmares, Dexter, Game of Thrones, the Walking Dead, Tosh.O (I can't help myself), Mythbusters or Netflix reruns of Cheers.

Music: My tastes are pretty eclectic. But if you look through my iTunes, you'd find anything from The Killers, LCD Soundsystem, Led Zepplin, Mos Def, Coldplay, Beastie Boys, Beck, Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, to Passion Pit, Mozart, Johnny Cash, Foo Fighters, Daft Punk, Mumford & Sons, Snow Patrol, Tony Bennett, Brazilian Bossa Nova music, and Latin American music to name a few. So I'm pretty much all over the place.

Food: Popcorn, salmon, old fashioned burger & fries, fish & chips, sushi, Japanese ramen (the good stuff you get at sit down Japanese restaurants), and okonomiyaki (maybe I'll introduce you to it sometime if you've never had it). I'm also a big fan of going to new restaurants and trying new or interesting things that I've never had before like i'm on a food network show.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
-Would a frosty be considered a solid or a liquid? Maybe a soliquid?
-What disease did cured ham actually have?
-Why is it that toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp? No decent human being would ever choose that setting.
-Why is it that people say they “slept like a baby” when babies wake up like every two hours?
-Why do we hear ourselves think?
-Is it ok for vegetarians to eat animal crackers?

Ok, ok. Seriously I actually think about...Home (Tennessee), dreams and plans for the future, how to become a better person as a whole.
On a typical Friday night I am
Depends. I might be working or I might be out with friends. Might be debating on what to do until I give up and decide to just chill at home and watch a movie. Ya never know.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Laika is a word in an Arcade Fire song (Neighborhood #2) and 1901 is a Phoenix song. Both of which happened to be playing while I was trying to think of a user name. So there ya go!
