My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
If you can appreciate and/or tolerate the following, we might just get along:

-I'm as content finishing a trail run covered in mud as I am putting on my finest little black dress and stilettos

-I am slightly obsessed with sarcastic banter (though I dish it out more than frequently, I'm a good sport and can take it, too)

-Sometimes I resemble a hermit and need a nudge to leave home, but I thrive on being surrounded by family and friends

-I am not a world-traveler YET, but would love a partner with whom I could travel the world (first stop- return to Greece)

-I was raised a Yankees fan. I not only accept it, I embrace it.

-I am a New Yorker at heart. I love the screeching sounds of traffic and taxi cab honking as much as I love fine art and culture (Okay, well maybe not as much, but I sure do appreciate the juxtaposition).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Teaching, coaching, and mentoring teens. A challenging, yet incredibly rewarding career.

Run. Run. Run. Race. Rest. Run some more. Repeat...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Topping other's sarcasm.
Laughing at myself (and others, but not at their expense!).
Accidentally injuring myself (not my finest quality).
Putting together a fierce outfit.
Intelligent conversation.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I tend to smile at everyone I pass.
I'm always laughing.

A few minutes of conversation and you might just sense my type-A tendencies.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My list of favorite books is ever-changing, but most recently: The Hunger Games trilogy, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian (feeding my YA lit obsession), Freedom, Little Bee, This is How You Lose Her, The Sun Also Rises, The Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby (also my favorite novel to teach!), anything by David Sedaris; I always have the latest issue of The New Yorker, Harper's, or Runner's World in hand.

Shows: Seinfeld, The Office, Modern Family, Project Runway, Breaking Bad

Music: Citizen Cope, Death Cab for Cutie, Regina Spektor, Jonah Smith, Amos Lee, Pete Yorn, U2, Coldplay, Etta James, Sam Cooke (the list goes is a pretty wide range)

Food: Sushi (I'm embarrassed to admit that at 33 I still don't know how to use chopsticks!), whole wheat pasta, produce from farmer's markets, pretzels, swedish fish (only the red ones...)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family- my five siblings are my best friends.
My asics (wicked running addiction).
A paperback book (no Kindles here; I believe in the power of the words on a page, and not the digital kind).
My favorite stilettos
Coffee, coffee, coffee!
Access to the outdoors
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How incredibly lucky I am.

My next move. I'm always looking to the future and the next goal I'll conquer.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Maybe grabbing dinner or drinks with friends or my siblings, at a live show or sporting event, or simply at home watching a movie, reading one of the many books in my "to read" pile, and sipping a glass of wine. It varies...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I listen to Kanye while running interval workouts.

I wish I could dance like Chris Brown.

Yes, I know. That's two. Both pretty embarrassing.

You aren't intimidated by sassiness...

You are looking for something serious. Apparently, this scares some people off, which is okay. I know what I want, so best to be direct (I think, at least!).
