My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A snapshot of me in 9 words: Fun. Musical. Active. Fit. Motivated. Liberal. Agnostic. Complex. Compassionate.

I got out of a brief marriage earlier last year, so I'm not at a point where I'm ready for a long-term thing quite yet. But, I'm getting back out and meeting new people around the city. And who knows? I never say never.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
With graduate school over, and only work to contend with, I finally have free time! For me, this means more traveling: Orlando (2x), San Fran, DC, Atlanta, and Park City, UT all in 2013. I also recently began volunteering for the American Red Cross.

I have a good job, nice apartment, spoiled cat, and am very happy with life right now.

I am a team lead and consultant by profession. I am goal-oriented but at the end of the day work is a means to an end. I enjoy exploring cultural attractions, eating out, playing/recording music, the outdoors, sports, and intellectual discussion.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making you laugh
Guitar and drums. I play drums in a band, Amacio Favor.
Listening
Problem-solving
Do-it-yourself repairs
Planning trips
Baseball, ping pong, banangrams, scrabble
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Laid back, easy-going demeanor and sense of humor. Everybody thinks I'm really chill, but my mind is racing. This is why I've begun meditating regularly :)

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family, my cat (Vittles), Netflix, sunny blue sky days, my bike, and my guitars and drums
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I want to travel next, where I might move, who I might meet as a companion, if I will pursue any more degrees, what's for dinner, anti-consumerism, where trendy phrases like "seriously?.." "boom!" "I know, right?" come from and how they catch fire in the American lexicon, how there are so many terrible drivers in Birmingham, how Miley Cyrus makes the news but a floating island of garbage in the Pacific the size of Texas is unknown to most, what life will be like when we run out of oil, how the more you learn the less you know, how much goes on in the world of politics behind the scenes that we're never aware of, the dumbing down of American culture
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Seriously it depends on the work week..hell week? Probably ordering delicious takeout and watching Netflix..easy week? Probably out with friends or visiting family..I definitely go out more on Saturday after I've had time to refuel
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
One time when I was a kid, I was lying on my couch throwing a full water bottle up toward the ceiling then catching it repeatedly. Then on one catch, I missed and the bottle hit me in the eye and for about 15 minutes I was cross-eyed! I thought my life was over. My grandmother who was babysitting me had that "oh sh*t" look on her face..of course it was only temporary, and now very funny looking back..and while we're on the eye thing, I also got hit near my left eye playing baseball one time and had seam marks imprinted in my temple..and lastly, when I was 5, my friend was casting a fishing line and the hook caught my eyebrow. Somehow I managed to survive all that and have perfectly normal eyes and vision!
