I am funny, caring, and a listener.

My Self-Summary

Hey guys, my name is Eric.

I live in Lake Zurich, and have lived there all 22 years of my life. I am a major townie. lol. Actually I don't really mind living here, I would much rather live down town, but that's just not in the cards right now.

Anyways, some stuff about me: I LOVE music, it has been a big part of my life ever since I can remember. I love singing and was involved with choir from 6th grade all the way 'till I graduated High School. If one were to ask me what kind of music I listen to I honestly couldn't give a good answer, I listen to just about a little bit of everything... especially show tunes. Which brings us to the topic of musical theatre. I didn't really discover this passion until I auditioned for our school's show choir and got in, which was senior year. So, I didn't really have much time to be involved with the drama department. But ever since then I have been a hopeless theatre addict.

Now, on to my sense of humor. This area is especially important to me, because if I were to even consider being in a long term relationship with someone they would have to be able to 1.) appreciate my sense of humor, and 2.) make me laugh. My sense of humor tends to be very sarcastic, and very dry. But with a bit of a sick and twisted side as well. When it comes to jokes I am not easily offended... in fact more often than not I tend to find really offensive jokes really funny.

Now, onto the last, and probably most important thing I will share for now.I am a christian, and my faith is very important to me. I accepted Christ into my life my freshmen year of High School, and have never looked back. In High School I was very involved with my youth group and made many life-long friends there. When High School was over I kind-of started a bit of a down-ward spiral, mostly because most of the friends I made in my youth group went off to college, and I stayed home to give community college a chance (a topic I would be willing to discuss further at some point, but seeing as how you can't fit everything on here I am sticking to the important stuff). And with those friends gone for most of the year I became very secluded. Especially since the youth group I joined in High School was only for High Schoolers. I did try being an adult leader there, but that didn't work out to well (again, another topic I would be willing to discuss later). And also at the time I was searching for a church, because the one I was in in High School just wasn't a good fit. But as all of my friends went off to college that pretty much stopped. This all ended about a year and a half ago when I was invited to a young adults ministry of The Chapel called TORCH by one of my cousins (who is only six days younger than me, so we are pretty close). I was immediately hooked, and have only missed a few services since that time. I am very involved in TORCH and run the sound board, and occasionally sing in the worship team. We recently separated from The Chapel and formed our own church. If you are interested we meet at the Round Lake Beach Regal Cinemas on Sundays at 9:00am.

Well, that's about it guys, thanks for taking the time to read this.

Eric
