My self-summary
I'd love to share a beautiful garden with someone special. To go on adventures to the beach under a full moon with a bottle filled with an intoxicating fruity liquid and some firewood. Then wake up to freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and the warm sun on bare skin.

It's important to keep a light heart because otherwise the joy is sapped from life, and then what's the point of it all?

I also enjoy running, hiking, camping, and am interested in nutrition and philosophy.

After living in a Hawaiian jungle for 5 weeks, I appreciate electricity, and running water and internet access more. I don't feel like I need to run away from technology any longer. Turning it off regularly is vital.

I regularly strive to become a better listener.

I often dream of living in the tropics but I'm currently living in Seattle. I love the culture, beauty and freedom of this city.

I consider myself spiritual but not religious. I asked okcupid to add a "spiritual" choice for "religion" but for now we spiritual but non-religious folks are stuck with "other".

Some great quotes:

"Just look at us. Everything is backwards; everything is upside down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the major media destroy information and religions destroy spirituality" - Michael Ellner

"Until he has unconditional and unbiased love for all beings, man will not find peace."

"Believe nothing no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and common sense."

"You only lose what you cling to."

"You have no cause for anything but gratitude and joy."

"What you are is what you have been. What you'll be is what you do now."

"Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule."

"You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."

"Always be mindful of the kindness and not the faults of others."

"Life is so very difficult. How can we be anything but kind."

"Every human being is the author of his own health or disease."

"Your body is precious. It is our vehicle for awakening. Treat it with care."

"Love is the solution for everything."
What I’m doing with my life
Working for the man so that I continue to have a roof over my head. Actually, I don't work for the man any longer, thank goodness. Now it's smooth sailing from here. If you're still working for the man, perhaps I could sympathize. I create software for a living but that's only a means to an end. When I have enough money saved, I want to buy some land, grow fruit trees and start a permaculture food forest.
I’m really good at
Getting people to fall asleep while I'm taking to them. Oh actually it's getting people to think I'm being serious, when I'm just joking. I'd rather not have to tell you it's a joke, after the fact. I seem to have a trusting way about myself. Many people open up to me and tell me very personal things, only a few minutes after meeting them. I'm often the person who is just there for someone who needs to get a load off their chest. I don't offer my own opinions unless I'm asked. I try my best not to be judgmental... best to just accept people how they are.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I have two eyes, two ears and a nose. Oh, actually, I don't know because I've never asked them, and can't read their minds (too well).

nature, friends, fresh fruit, peace of mind, sleep and love
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how i'm going to go from here to my ideal world. what i should do with my life. why am i here? you know, basic philosophical questions that humanity has struggled with for millenia.
