I've lived in San Antonio for several years, but spent most of my life bouncing between Texas and the Caribbean. I love Texas, and I do like San Antonio, but I'm pretty sure Austin is more my speed, this site seems to confirm that since I have noticed most of my highest matches are living in Austin. Maybe I need to make a move?

I'm a very positive person, I believe that we are responsible for our own happiness, and while sad and frustrating things can and do happen in life, the good far outweighs the bad. Most of life's problems can be logically handled positively and with low levels of drama as long as you have a good attitude. Speaking of drama, I like to avoid it! I have realized that there are certain unavoidable elements of drama in the human experience though, and that once again, it's really all in how you deal with it. In general though if I can avoid unnecessary drama I do! With that being said I am told that I am dramatic... like in the way that I like to tell entertaining stories, I am very expressive, and sometimes maybe a little too loud.

I love to have fun, I am extremely outgoing! I like to go places and do fun things, I do like to go out and party like a rock star from time to time, but I also like entertaining at home, cooking delicious foods, and making yummy drinks for my friends. I enjoy the outdoors and love the water, I grew up on a sailboat so to say I like the sea is an understatement! I love the river, and local lakes, any water will do, and I enjoy being in natural settings! Hiking, picnics, and theoretically camping though I really haven't camped that much, we lived on a boat, we didn't need to camp. lol. Love, love, love travel! There are so many places I need to see!

I have two sons, they are awesome, and keep me very busy. I love spending time with my boys, but I also like to get away, and step out of the Mom role. I volunteer for an international breastfeeding organization, being able to help mothers feed their babies in the most nutritious and healthy way is very rewarding to me. You may be surprised but there is a lot more to it than you might think! I am also a Cancer survivor, and I am currently looking for volunteer opportunities along that vein as well. I find it very fulfilling to help people, and tend to be a nurturing person.

I think I am incredibly low maintenance, I don't really like to make a big fuss about stuff, but I am known to get up on my soapbox about a few things I find important. I'm told I have a big personality though so it's not like I'm a wall flower, I just don't like getting too worked up about stuff... Mellow!

I've been single for several years, and I do like my independence, I am in no hurry to rush into anything serious, like everything else with me, I just like to be laid back and let things run their course. I am not opposed to a relationship by any means, but I am not actively seeking or pining away for love. I am a very loving person though and have deep affections for the people in my life. My eyes and heart are open, but like I said, no rush!

I've recently returned to college, I'm really loving it. It's a lot more work than I anticipated, but I'm having a good time, I like learning, and being challenged; the social aspect is really fun too. Additionally I run my own business, and LOVE what I do for a living!

I like Tom Robbins novels, Isabelle Allende books, The Secret (the movie and the book), all manner of silly vampire books (sad but true), Ask And It Will Be Given, The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent, How To Talk So your Kids Will Listen and Listen So Your Kids Will Talk.

I like so many movies. The Big Lebowski, Dazed and Confused, the Matrix, Into The Wild, Anchorman, Stepbrothers, The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, Like Water For Chocolate, Snatch, He's Just Not That Into You, Casablanca, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The African Queen, the Rocky Horror Picture Show; The Princess Bride is my all time favorite movie.

I like most all types of food, and I like to try new things. I love Sushi, European, and inventive cuisine especially. I'm a big fan of good food and fine wine, but can enjoy beer and bbq just as well. About the only thing I can't stand is fast food.

Music ... Well, I know this is a passionate topic for a lot of people, but I don't get all worked up about it. I am definitely NOT a music snob. Some of my favorite bands are Sublime, The Pixies, Teagan and Sarah, The Yeah, Yeah, Yeah's, Pink Floyd, Modest Mouse, MGMT, Maroon 5, Colbie Caillat, Bob Marley (any reggae), Fleetwood Mac, Blondie ... the list goes on and on. I really like to dance, so anything I can shake my ass to I am down with. I also like to sing (poorly) so songs with lot's of "La La La's" "Da, da, da's" and catchy lyrics are also a favorite of mine; lot's of top 40 stuff. I am not a big fan of Country music, and I can't stand super heavy, death, or speed metal.

The Universe. My future, and defining my goals, both academic, and business related. Also, I spend a lot of time thinking about sex, everyone does.

I'm typically having a good time on a Friday night, regardless of what I'm doing. I do usually try to get out on the weekends, either for fun or for my job, which is also fun.... so yeah typically having fun all the time really. :)

I'm done admitting private things... it always gets me in trouble!
