I was born and raised in San Diego and I do my best to not take the
city for granted, i.e. going out to all the great restaurants and
bars, finding fun or quirky things to around town. I've challenged
myself to be more spontaneous this year, and it's the best thing I
ever decided to do.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a history teacher, but currently running an "Academic
Intervention" program for high schoolers who need extra
support/tutoring. The term "intervention" makes it sound way more
serious than it is. I get that middle/high school is a complicated
time for a lot of kids, and I do my best to make it fun and
interesting for my students.
I’m really good at
-finding fun and unique things to do around San Diego.
-being a good host. My parties have great snacks, drinks, music and
The first things people usually notice about me
my red hair. And my smile. The combo is amazing ;)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm more into articles than books. Does this mean I have a short
attention span when it comes to reading? Maybe.
Shows: Louie, Wilfred, Girls, New Girl, Arrested Development, The
Colbert Report, It's Always Sunny
Music: anything goes, it just depends on my mood!
Food: anything goes, it just depends on my mood!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
why people are the way they are. I tend to analyze people and
situations just because I think it's fun to figure people out.
On a typical Friday night I am
being talked into going out with friends, or trying to talk friends
into going out. Why can't we ever be on the same page?
Or... I'm chilling at home in my pjs, waisting time on the computer
and watching my favorites shows.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not sure what I'm looking for (in a guy). I don't have it all
figured out and it's a little scary putting yourself out there. But
I'm open and honest and that's what this whole dating thing is all
