Above all things, I am a gamer. I spend a most likely unhealthy amount of time sitting in front of my computer playing things like Team Fortress 2 and Mass Effect, broken up by work and occasional trips to the gym. I'm also a fan of tabletop games, such as D&D and Exalted, as well as board games. I also enjoy science fiction and anime. I LARP at RPI about four to six times a year, and travel to various geek/nerd conventions, such as Genericon, PAX East, and Arisia.

I grew up in Mariaville, so I'm not adverse to running around outside, hiking and whatnot, either.

Sometimes, I'll break out my trumpet, although I haven't done that much recently.

I also have relatively poor social skills, and absolutely suck at reading people. Basically, I'm the type of person you can find at a tech school.

I am Quiet, Cynical, and Intelligent

I work a lot. Since I get paid by the hour and my general lack of a social life leaves me with a decent amount of free time, I volunteer for all the overtime I can. After all, those renovations won't pay for themselves...

I'm employed as a health physics tech at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, where I ensure that people who get paid more than I do don't screw up. In my spare time, I'm working on a Bachelor's in Physics at SUNY Albany. One day, I'll be the highly-paid professional whom people like me are paid to make sure don't do anything stupid.

Procrastinating, working with computers, listening (since I don't really talk much), I'm a decent cook, good at math as long as I don't make a stupid mistake along the way, and I can read fast (not sure how that would help, though).

Generally, the first thing people notice is that I'm tall.

Either that, or the awesome hair.

There are far too many for an all-inclusive list, but here are some of the top ones: Anything by Terry Pratchett or Neil Gaiman, Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings, Ender's Game, Her Majesty's Wizard, the Deathstalker series, Honor Harington, Dresden Files... I'd list more, but this would quickly become tl;dr.

As for movies, I'd have to say my top five are: Fifth Element, Shoot 'em Up, The Matrix (it's a pity they never made any worthwhile sequels), Serenity, and The Court Jester.

As far as music goes, I'll listen to almost anything. I tend to prefer rock, though. My current playlist features, among others, Sirenia, Manowar, Bulletproof Messenger, Kiss, Van Canto, Iron Maiden, Dragonforce, and HammerFall.

And for food... well, I like food. Be it pub fare, pizza, sushi, or most anything else, I'll try it at least once.
