My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Mark, and this is my second attempt at OkCupid.

I guess the important thing to get out of the way now is to tell you that I'm not exactly what you would call 'single.' I'm in a non-monogamous relationship with my wife. We've been living the poly lifestyle for well over two years now -- and it's awesome : )

Just because I'm married does not make me a scumbag or a cheater, so feel free to take any preconceived notions and toss them out of your nearest window...and google 'polyamory' while you're at it. Thanks : )

Other than that, I'm very easy-going, I have a great sense of humor, and I'm ready to meet new people.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently working as a lab technician at a company that manufactures poultry vaccines.

When I'm not working...

I used to play drums for a couple of local bands, jamming at bars around town, but nowadays I just like to chill at home with my acoustic guitar or ukelele (so cool, I know). I'm currently in the process of writing/recording some original material.

Frequenting flea markets and prowling through eBay, I'm always looking for comic books -- I collect comics from the 60s and 70s. Have any? Lemme see 'em. I'll make you a deal.

Working on projects around my house...THERE ARE SO MANY. FUCK.

Going to concerts and taking trips whenever I can afford not too many of those.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Procrastinating and spacing out for long periods of time.

Putting shiny new game consoles to good use by downloading and playing 1990s RPG's on them.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My freakishly long arms, my tattoos, and I guess my height, maybe? You tell me :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

My favorite book genres are fantasy and horror, just as long as there's a healthy dose of black humor and social satire. If it's Ray Bradbury, Stephen King, or Kurt Vonnegut, I'm all over that shit. Some of my favorite novels are: The Catcher in the Rye, Life of Pi, It, Dune, Catch-22, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, A Confederacy of Dunces, and The Sirens of Titan. I'm working on finally finishing up Robert Jordan's 'Wheel of Time' series. I also devour the 'Harry Potter' series on a bi-yearly basis. It's a bit of a weird nerd ritual. Want to borrow a book? I've got plenty. No library card needed.

My taste in movies is close to my taste in literature -- fantasy and horror, but I enjoy other genres outside that too (like dumb humor). Some of my favorite films are Star Wars (IV-VI), Jaws, Ocean's 11, the Indiana Jones movies, Underworld (except for that last one...absolutely horrible), Sleepy Hollow, Silver Bullet, The Skeleton Twins, Step Brothers, and Anchorman. I also like watching documentaries that cover cryptology and real-world issues.

I don't watch a lot of TV, but there are a few shows that I hold dear to my heart. Breaking Bad, MST3K, SNL, Key & Peele, Bob's Burgers, South Park, Archer, Robot Chicken, Family Guy, The Daily Show, Modern Family, River Monsters, and Antiques Roadshow. Yeah, that's right -- Antiques Roadshow.

Music, oh my. I like: The Beatles, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Soundgarden, CSN(&Y), Led Zeppelin, Beck, Rolling Stones, R.E.M, Bill Withers, Paul Simon, Cream, Jeff Buckley, The Strokes, The Stooges, Pearl Jam, Xavier Rudd, and Iron and Wine...this is just a small sample, but you get the idea. My tastes range mostly on the older side, but it really depends on my mood. Grateful Dead and CCR on one day, Macklemore and Atmosphere on another, and so on.

Food! I'm a big fan of gourmet restaurants, but I'll still tear me up some Taco Bell. My wife conditioned me not to be a picky eater and I love her all the more for it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1.) Something to read
2.) Music
3.) Advil Liqui-Gels
4.) My ridiculous cats and dogs
5.) Sunglasses
6.) Tacos
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Fucking magnets. How do they work?!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Going out to eat, reading in bed, goofing off playing video games, or throwing bricks at mailboxes...not really. I couldn't think of anything else after video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a ridiculous wolf tattoo on my back. I was young, it was a bad choice. I'm planning on getting it covered up soon with something a bit more respectable.

I am Batman.
