My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just moved to Chicago. I'm looking for friends, dates, soccer teams and dancing partners. I just graduated college and started my first job.

Inspire me.

I could be described as a geek. I might know more about robots than you...and I could probably help with your calculus homework. I'm very interested in technology overall, so stop me if I get carried away. I also like to soak up information about history, especially WW2 era history. I try to fit into normal culture with varying levels of success.

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life.” -John Lennon

ENTP. Know what that means? Let's talk about it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a sales engineer working with clients around the Chicago and Rockford areas. I graduated recently with a degree in mechanical engineering from a school in Milwaukee.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books:
Prey, Timeline, Post Singular, 1984, Harry Potter, History stuff, Science Fiction

Music: Trance, alternative, oldies, 90's Music! My preferences are always changing but recently my Pandora station seems to have become infused with a strain of Disney classics...

Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Summer Set, Avicii, The Offspring, Queen, Journey, All Time Low, The Ataris, One Direction, Maroon 5

As for movies, I'm up for anything. Comedy, action, horror, even a few romantic comedies can be good. My favorite movie of all time probably has to be Supertroopers. Yeah, I dig the stupid comedy.

All food is fairly awesome...except for lima beans. I like Italian, Thai, and sushi.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Knowledge/learning/education
I've been in school for my entire life. I'm excited yet scared to jump into the real world. I don't think entering the real world is scary as much as ending my current world is. Being a student is great (although I don't always feel that way). People are always feeding you new ideas and challenges and 2 days are rarely the same. If I don't get to continue learning i'll grow bored very quickly.

2. Science
Science has an answer (or at least a guess) for pretty much everything. It's comforting to know that I can know how the world works. Also, space is just awesome.

3. Cheese
Wisconsin native here. Mooooooo.

4. Other people
I try to meet someone new everyday, and I love people watching.

5. Technology
Obviously.

6. Challenges
Life is boring without challenges. A complacent and monotonous life is my worst nightmare.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life in general..my future, politics, religion, the world.

Most of all, I like thinking about what lies in the stars. What unseen wonders inhabit the far reaches of space that I will never get to visit?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing something. I can't stand staying in on the weekends. Life is nothing but a fantastic adventure.

I love the city life but I also like to get away sometimes...stargazing in the country is one of the most beautiful things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm somewhat frequently mistaken for being gay...I'm not, but nothing against them. In fact, gay bars are super fun.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You think we might make a connection;

OR if you're interested in scheming up devious ways to get rich with me;

OR if you think you can beat me in scrabble, or monopoly;

OR if you feel like it.

Also, I discourage messages from really extreme religious people. I respect your right to have it, but I want nothing to do with it. Moderates are fine, and spirituality can certainly be interesting...but only with an open mind. If your religion stops you from doing something you would otherwise enjoy, I consider that extreme.
