My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
They say to start your profile out with a witty, clever opening sentence to draw the reader in. They say to be unique and to stand out, to focus on the positive. They say to only talk about the positive, don't say anything self-deprecating, anything that might give a girl a reason not to date you. They say it's a numbers game, and that you want to draw in as many people as you can.

I say, "Fuck that shit."

I'm not perfect, and you're not either, but maybe we can hit it off.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now, I'm working in a factory, helping out my grandparents, and coaching soccer. I'm not sure if any of those are great long-term career options, but they give me something to do and put a little bit money in my pocket while I'm trying to figure it all out.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I think I'm pretty good at playing soccer. I'm very good at taking standardized tests, but I think that part of my life is behind me. I've been told by some that I'm a good writer. You can judge for yourself if I've written this profile particularly well. I'm definitely not good sleeping; I find myself awake at odd hours of the night fairly often.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
A recent survey of ten strangers revealed "Who are you?" and "Why are you talking to me?" as the top results when asked what they first noticed about me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I used to have long lists written here, but I realized that I never read anyone else's long lists of movies and music, so i've tried to cut each category down to just a few things. Ask me if you want to talk more about movies, music, TV shows, etc.

Music: Flogging Molly, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Buffett, The Streets, the Kings of Leon.

Books: Harry Potter, Ender's Game, American Gods, How Soccer Explains the World, 1984, Snow Crash

Movies: Cool Runnings, Star Wars, The Man from Earth, Powers of Ten, Swingers

Food: Tacos, Pizza
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Soccer: It's my first true love and the one thing I'm really passionate about. I don't know what I'd do without it.

Something to write with: I love to write. If I can't write down my thoughts, they get all bottled up in my head and drive me crazy.

My dog: OK, that's probably not true, but I do love my dog Addie, so I had to mention her in here somewhere. She's a weimaraner and the prettiest dog I've ever met.

Time and space to myself: I'm generally a pretty introverted person. I love hanging out with my family and friends, but at some point, I need to be alone and recharge my batteries. I'm not someone who can be available 24/7.

Something warm: I'm always cold. You'll never catch me outside skiing or ice skating, because they're too cold.

Soccer: It's so important I thought I should list it twice.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Soccer. Philosophy. Math. Plots to take over the world. Books I should write.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Maybe out at a movie. Maybe at a party with some friends. Maybe out with the guys having a drink. Maybe just chilling at home watching TV.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My life hasn't gone according to plan.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to talk about philosophy. Or soccer. Or movies. Or you're just bored. Or you like me. Or I've randomly been viewing your profile. I probably like you but don't know what to say.

Most of us guys don't get a lot of unsolicited messages, so it makes us feel special if you send us one. You should.
