I'm introverted to the point of being semi-comatose. My sense of humor appreciates both the wit of Oscar Wilde as well as the farcical antics in The Naked Gun. I'm intelligent, but probably not as smart as I think I am. I'm not a people-person, though I'd like to be. Never managed to make the leap from getting drunk to having fun. Instead, I'm a couch potato that likes to get lost in books, movies and games. In short: I'm the jackpot, ladies.

Right now, trying to wrap my head around what it means to be in my thirties.

Learning new things. Getting motivated enough to actually get around to learning those new things, now that's a challenge.

Also, I can be quite funny. Or so I'm told. By people who appreciate dry sardonic jokes.

I'm a geek who loves mainstream blockbuster movies as well as arthouse indies. Give me a Will Ferrell movie written and directed by Paul T. Anderson and I will die a happy man.

To me, the best show on TV was The Wire. Right now it's gotta be Mad Men, closely followed by Breaking Bad. I like genre stuff like Buffy, Doctor Who and the Battlestar Galactica remake, the seedy opulence of Boardwalk Empire, Claire Danes' crying face in Homeland.

I eat food regularly, but rarely ever listen to music.

I feel guilty about not reading as much about cosmology as I keep intending to. The nature and origin of space and time fascinate me. The idea that almost every element on Earth was made in the heart of stars, that we are all made of stars, fucks my mind like nothing else.
