My self-summary
Hello. Just looking for friends here. If you're looking for anything sexual, move on.

I'm in a non-traditional relationship. Don't let that confuse you. I'm faithful to both and not looking for anyone else. I'm married to Missense and in a serious relationship with mikecowpg.

Now then!

What I'm looking for?

Friends, but more likely conversational partners. Let's just see if we can influence one another in some cool ways. To tell the truth, I can't promise you I'll stay in touch. ... Not yet. I've been too transient for too long, and well, I already have closer friends I need to nurture.

Maybe we'll even hang out? Maybe we'll actually be friends? ... I... as you can see, I'm in a bit of a transitional state.

But either way, I propose we trade secrets, insights, and wishes. That quick and honest way that strangers sometimes do, and perhaps we'll learn from one another. Does that sound like something you'd like to do? I'm here.
What I’m doing with my life
Following my husband around, preparing to move to Winnipeg. Will be settling into a new home there in the coming months.

Until then, I'm just kind of housewifing around, trying to level up in that. Admittedly, it's not easy in temporary homes. And we've had a lot of these over the years.

My primary occupations seem to revolve around homemaking and taking care of people close to me. One of my dearest wishes is to make my husband happy. I don't think I could ever sufficiently express how much he means to me... But, he's this beautiful man who has cared for me incredibly and helps me be the person I feel I am meant to be. Which means everything.
I’m really good at
self-deprecation. Like, amazing! I could go all Inception on this and you'd be awestruck. *I* would be awestruck. I'm *that* good.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Listed alphabetically. Feel free to skim. This is long.

MOVIES – First of all, I hate horror. It makes me bawl and panic. This is a source of embarrassment to me. Some things that scare me or sadden me that shouldn't. I wish I was stronger.

Bluffmaster, The Dark Knight, Donnie Darko, Gran Torino, Hook, Labyrinth, Lucky Number Slevin, The Matrix, Millennium Actress, Spider-Man 2

TV – Archer, Lilyhammer, Modern Family, Orange is the New Black

ANIME - Attack on Titan, Demon King, School Rumble, Watamote

BOOKS –
1984 - George Orwell
Awareness – Anthony De Mello
The Celestine Prophecy – James Redfield
Everything Bad is Good for You – Steven Johnson
Harry Potter – J. K. Rowling
His Dark Materials – Phillip Pullman
Organizing from the Inside-Out – Julie Morgenstern
Prelude to Foundation - Isaac Asimov

MUSIC – I like a lot of types, but I'm no expert on any of them. I used to like some music on the radio, until the past few years, I think... Now, I'm finding it difficult to find music I like and this worries me. I seem to be attracted to a lot of stuff that was popular in another country- maybe 15 years ago. (This is not a source of pride to me. … I'd like it if more people enjoyed the music I like. And I wish this stuff was easier to find.) I like a lot of dynamic stuff: Bollywood, Israeli music, electronica, internet remixes, symphonic metal...

24 hours – Jem
Angels - Within Temptation
Chori Chori – Arash ft Aneela
Freestailo Remix (from Superstar KZ)
Hold Your Colour - Pendulum
Levan Polka - Dj Slon ft Loituma
Mirror's Edge Theme – Lisa Miskovsky
Monolith of Doubt - After Forever
One Desire – Jarkarta
Prachim Bakane - Sabliminal
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego - Rockapella

FOOD- I love eggs and plain greek yogurt a lot, often together. (Seriously tasty.) I try to add spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, and sometimes tofu to a lot of dishes. Best dishes: tacos, chicken curry, and salmon.
The six things I could never do without
Hey, could we all just agree that we all can't live without friends/family, air, and the Internet? Because we keep screwing ourselves out of three other necessities.

1. Ability to Share (and be shared with)
2. Naps
3. Heat source and/or fuzzy sweater and/or blanket
4. Cuddles
5. Appreciation/Understanding
6. Hot showers
I spend a lot of time thinking about
optimal layouts and systems of organization. Optimal ways to express oneself.

Honestly, I don't think I'm really good at either. Sometimes I get flashes of inspiration and I can be quite proud, but usually it feels like I just spend a lot of time just vaguely thinking about this stuff.
On a typical Friday night I am
Home. I'm very likely using a computer in one way or another. I could be browsing the internet, playing Spelunky, or I could be watching a movie with my husband. Or video chatting with friends, since most of them live far away.
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 18–99
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends
You should message me if
you've read my self-summary, understand my expectations, and yet you still want our worlds to collide.

Start talking. Really talking. Not "How are you?" Don't flirt with me. Don't just ask if I want to chat. Share something meaningful. And, maybe you did all that. Then, I'm sorry, I can't promise I'll be prompt or there at all. Not yet. (I may not deserve you and you don't have to message me.)
