My self-summary
***Note: I leave this profile up for nostalgia because I met my husband, "Missense", though OKC. (It works!) Messages are welcome, but please, only message with the understanding that I'm not looking for a relationship or hookups or anything of the sort. Thank you. ... Also, I don't live in NY anymore. Once we settle down somewhere for more than a few months at a time, I'll fix this. Sorry for the confusion. ... Truth be told, I'm confused, too. We can't wait to settle down.***

Okay, so yeah. Um, hi!

I like to meet, confuse, and inspire people.

I like finding four-leaf clovers, putting together jigsaw puzzles, making weird faces in the mirror, and trying to do handstands. (Hence the name “laughing_tumble”.)

I like to dance, sing, threaten people with my high kicks, and crawl into small spaces and grin.

I like googling, lucid dreaming, playing volleyball, and helping others reach their potential.

I like organizing, playing DDR, playing D&D, and drawing.

I am enthusiastic, thoughtful, and giggly
What I’m doing with my life
I just moved to Utica in August. I'm really at a turning point here. After 2 years of university, I'm going to take at least a semester off to pursue my interests and see if I can learn and feel comfortable with myself in a non-academic setting.

College. It was pretty cool, but oof, I'll be honest- all my life I've been way too focused on academics. It's been unhealthy for me, causing me a lot of anxiety.

So it's time for a change. I might take like, 2 courses in a community college, but if so, I'll take practical, rewarding, and/or fun courses like cooking, personal finance, or dancing. The important thing right now is to follow my interests without the bullshit that you tend to find within academia.

I want to learn all sorts of things and develop a strong sense of self-discipline. I love to learn and there are so many things I want to try! Now, I hope to do it on my own terms.

Career-wise, I want to become a professional organizer. I would help people organize their homes and workplaces so that they can be who they want to be. The career appeals to me for so many reasons: It's practical and artistic. I like developing systems of efficiency, and I like working with people by counseling and teaching. Also, with all the cool stuff you uncover, it's like treasure hunting!
I’m really good at
... Look, I'd sooner undersell myself than build false expectations.

I've already told you stuff I like to do... so... yeah.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Okay, this is the part where I list a lots of things I like (alphabetically, so I don't have to pick favorites), and you can just skim, if you want.

MOVIES – the best are the ones that seem to blend genres. comedy action romance. I'm terrible at watching horror, but if the plot is intriguing enough, I might feel compelled to watch it. But I get really jumpy. Like, really bad. … Oh yeah, and I like Bollywood movies, too.

Bluffmaster, The Dark Knight, Donnie Darko, The Fifth Element, Gran Torino, Hook, Labyrinth, Lucky Number Slevin, The Matrix, Millennium Actress, Seducing Mr. Perfect, Shrek, Spider-Man 2, Spirited Away

TV – Here's some stuff I like:
Clean House, Daria, Devil Beside You, Dexter, Family Guy, Futurama, Krod Mandoon, Total Drama Island/Action, Scrubs

I watch a lot of stand-up comedy. George Carlin is my all-time favorite.

And I like anime: Elfen Lied, Ouran High School Host Club, Peach Girl, Samurai Champloo (What should I watch next?)

BOOKS – Fantasy novels and nonfiction. Erm... here, I'll give you some titles:

Awareness – Anthony De Mello
The Celestine Prophecy – James Redfield
Everything Bad is Good for You – Steven Johnson
Harry Potter – J. K. Rowling
His Dark Materials – Phillip Pullman
Organizing from the Inside-Out – Julie Morgenstern
Storm Thief – Chris Wooding

INTERNETS- Some favorite web sites:

www.reddit.com
www.tvtropes.org
www.facebook.com

And I like web comics: Comedity, Order of the Stick, Subnormality, The Perry Bible Fellowship, xkcd...

MUSIC – I like a lot of types, but I'm no expert on any of them. Kinda a “jack of all trades but master of none” thing going on. I like a lot of music on the radio (pop, rock, hip hop, alternative, etc...) but I love music I can dance to. I seem to be attracted to a lot of stuff that was popular in another country- maybe 10 years ago. (This is not a source of pride to me. … I'd like it if more people enjoyed the music I like.) I like a lot of fun stuff: Bollywood, Israeli music, electronica...

Some fun songs you might hear me sing in the shower (or anywhere, actually, I'm not particular):

24 hours – Jem
Chori Chori – Arash ft Aneela
Hold Your Colour - Pendulum
Mirror's Edge Theme – Lisa Miskovsky
One Desire – Jarkarta
Prachim Bakane - Sabliminal
Soul Meets Body – Death Cab for Cutie
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego - Rockapella

FOOD- I really try to eat healthy. So I can eat more! ... I like breakfast foods.
The six things I could never do without
Hey, could we all just agree that we all can't live without friends/family, air, and the Internet? Because we keep screwing ourselves out of three other necessities.

1. Kind words
2. Naps
3. Cereal
4. Hugs
5. Appreciation
6. Hot showers
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what I might wish for if I had a genie.

...

I love asking this question. You should message me your answer.
On a typical Friday night I am
Home. Maybe on the internet, maybe watching a movie with family. Been moving around a bit lately, so let's see what sort of routine develops.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I wonder if this profile is too long that no one will read it. (And yet, maybe this is a way to make sure only the cool people get through?)
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 18–28
  • Located anywhere
  • Who are single
  • For new friends
You should message me if
...you actually got to the bottom here. I'm flattered. ... You must be cool. Let's talk!

Look, I'll make it easy for you. If you don't know what to say, just start by telling me your "What would you wish for if you had a genie?" answer. Or at least tell me what you would consider, okay? (As in, no 3 wish limit!)
