A proud aunt to two beautiful nieces and two sweet nephews and unofficially to a number of little buddies, I take the title seriously and enjoy all my little friends. The clock is ticking on a family of my own but it's not completely off the table. Taking up traveling is appealing too.
Friends can be just like family and I have a small yet fantastic bunch to laugh and laugh till I cry with.
I have a wonderful Husky-Lab cross that I adopted almost two years ago. He's my best buddy, my running partner, and a calming influence. Do you have a dog?...maybe a coffee date at a nearby dog park is in order.
I believe in the good in people and yes, it's left me disappointed or broken hearted at times. I don't give up though, there are some gems out there...I just know there is.
I believe in honesty and speaking up for yourself. I know what I like, am willing to try the things you do (will try almost anything once), and respect that having differences is a good thing in a relationship.
Looking for a guy who can be "the man" when necessary but also my confidante and soft place to land. I have my own tools and know how to use them but am more than happy to sit back and bring you a sandwich and watch you work instead.
Someone asked me recently what I was looking for and so I copy that here:
I want to laugh with someone through the good and the not so good. I want someone to cry with as well.
I'm actually quite traditional so I hope for romance and chivalry and "the man of the house" but to also be respected and have equal say in important decisions.
Communication and compromise are paramount. You can't have either of those without honesty.
I want to feel safe enough to be impulsive with someone provided there is equal focus on accomplishing our common goals.
If you are curious to know more...message me. I'm in no rush to find "the one"...I believe it's important to get to know one another and see what happens. **If you are a smoker with no intention to quit, I appreciate your time but it's a show-stopper. Sorry.
