My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm not exactly sure what I want from this. New friends would be quite lovely, and maybe something more eventually is possible.
Mainly I want to meet some people who ARENT completely terrible.

Let's see, I believe everyone can be described as a series of eloquently phrased contradictions.

I'm a tomboy, but I know how to dress myself.
I'm a woman, but I know women are nuts.
I'm a cynical smart ass, but I care deeply.
I'm straight up and will tell you the blunt reality, but there is a time and a place for sweet words.
I have a passion for life that co-exists with a comfortable fear of it.

My *middle* name is Laura.

I have tattoos.

I used to play soccer for quite a while. I cheer for the leafs, avidly watch soccer when the euro or World Cup is on (Deutschland!!), but American football, baseball, and basketball bore me to tears. I may be convinced otherwise.
I write a lot, a very long first half of a novel with no ending in sight, and lyrics to songs that I will never remember.

I listen to a lot of music, but older is better, in general. Led Zeppelin is first and foremost, Floyd close behind, but I could go on and on for hours about my favourite bands. Please, try convincing me that Pablo Honey was a bad album and you'll lose. Extra points if you didn't use google to look that up. I like metal, I like classic rock, I like grunge, and rockabilly, and punk, and hardcore, and new rock, indie, some interesting pop music, blues are flawless, country sucks, rap sucks more. I can appreciate dance music for dancing, nothing more :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Here is the boring stuff. The facts. I'm going to school at York at present, studying (creative) writing and english. Boring, not because I don't care about it, but because a personality is so much more interesting than a resume.

But I am a writer and that I do love.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Combining lame Dad humour with sharp sarcastic humour.
Um. Chain-smoking.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How would I know? Um my eyes, my spacers, my tattoos. Physically at least lol.
Most people notice that I'm very opinionated right away.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
In no particular order I suppose..
Books; Game of Thrones, Stephen King, Harry Potter, Kurt Vonnegut, Anne Rice, Edgar Allan Poe, Shakespeare, Ernest Hemingway, DeLillo, basically old classics or new experimental is always good.

Movies; Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, anything well done, anything weird or undergroundish. I like to think. The Big Lebrowski,

Now I have to be *very selective*:
Music: Zeppelin, Floyd, Pearl Jam, Bad Company, Soundgarden, Eagles of Death Metal, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Hendrix, Janis, Alexisonfire, Radiohead, Ozzy, Maps & Atlases, The Tallest Man On Earth, Smashing Pumpkins, The Tea Party, Kings of Leon, The Who, Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Black Keys, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Arcade Fire, Awolnation, CCR, Blind Melon, Grateful Dead, Born Ruffians, Bright Eyes, Queen, Cancer Bats, Circa Survive, Disturbed, SOAD, Eddie Vedder(*), Fleetwood Mac, Joe Cocker, Lana del Rey (I don't give a shit she is brilliant), Lynard Skynard, Lumineers, Minus the Bear, Steppenwolf, Marilyn Manson, Moody Blues, Modest Mouse, Mumford & Sons, Neutral Milk Hotel, Rival Sons, Sheepdogs, The Smiths, Ten Years After, Thriftstore Cowboys, The Hip, Violent Femmes, White Stripes, Zeus, The Velvet Underground.

I'm always looking for more:)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Physical things?
My Ipod, A scrunchie, books, my bed, my big grungy boots, my hair.
Non-physical things?
Music, family, my friends, time to myself, creativity, independance.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Art, Death, Beards, humor, dry humor, things to write about.
Burritos, because let's face it I spend hours a day making burritos, it's a massive part of my conscious stream of thought.
Human suffering and why we're all assholes,
Unusual connections between things no one else notices.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually working all day or all night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't have many friends.
I don't have any friends except for the people I work with.
My mom is my friend.
My dad is my friend.
I'm proud of all of these things.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- You're not going to call me "cute." Gross
- You're not going to point out the fact that you didn't call me cute and expect a thank you.
- You don't describe yourself as a "typical easy going, fun loving-" stop it you're just a boring person.
