My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a really easy-going guy and have an odd sense of humor bred from watching shows like Mystery Science Theater in the '90s. I like level-headed people who are able to laugh not only at the world around them, but themselves as well. I'm nerdy but also pretty socially-adjusted, so I can actually carry on a conversations about a pretty wide range of topics and not just Star Trek or video games, should the need arise. (I just don't like to. :-P) I tend to be pretty shy online before I get to know people well, but it's something I'm trying to improve.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Graduated from college a couple years back -- went for PR/marketing -- but landed a job at my old university in IT, which really plays to my interests more. I started playing around with computers with I was 3 so it's a natural fit. On a day-to-day basis, I'm consuming far too much information from various sources, and checking Facebook and Engadget with a frequency that may be the basis for professional therapy.

Also trying to go the gym more and gain some muscle, although we'll see how that works out. For example, I should be at the gym right now, but instead I'm editing my profile.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh -- I can be pretty silly and sarcastic if I get in the mood, but I don't think it's overbearing. Also good at listening/empathizing with people, which tends to cut down on drama, which I hate. I'd like to think I'm good at dedicating myself to someone, but also giving them space if they need it.

Very good at dancing. I can moonwalk. :P

It seems like you'd have to ask other people to gauge this properly. So don't take my word for it! Listen to these easy-for-me-to-make-up testimonials!

"His sense of humor is definitely this season's blockbuster."
-Roger Ebert

"Fascinating."
-Mr. Spock

"Seriously, stop following me."
-Random Guy Downtown

"This man is singlehandedly destroying America."
-Rick "Santorum" (not his real name)

I love sushi. I love Michael Jackson. I love Prince. If either of these people (living or dead) had a concert and came onto the stage with a plate of sushi, I'd marry them on the spot.

I've been to Europe a few times and ever since then have enjoyed trying new food. While there are certain things I'm not brave enough to try, for the most part I like doing new things and having new experiences, whereas before I'd probably shy away from them.

Musically, I'm really into '80s pop and rock, and modern stuff so long as it's easy to tap your foot to it. And yes, I can do the moonwalk and toe stand, and I'll show you if you ask nicely.

For TV, I'm a fan of Star Trek, Stargate, that kind of thing--probably not too surprising. Also a fan of Arrested Development and other kinds of scripted comedies. Thanks to Netflix I've been feeding my love of British comedies/sitcoms. I've recently gotten into Archer and Bob's Burgers (also thanks to Netflix).

I have my share of favorite mainstream movies, but my absolute favorite movies are bad movies, such as those that would be ripped apart on Mystery Science Theater 3000. LOVE Tommy Wiseau's "The Room." No matter how many times I see it at the Dundee, it never gets old.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Blood, eyes, fingers, DNA, smartphone, Google
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...the future--I tend to be a big picture kind of person. Technology. Quantum physics. Ice cream.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Coming up with a plan, or rendezvousing with friends because a plan has already been made. Sometimes I'll just stay in and play games. Sometimes I'll go to the gym.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I ate at a Chick-Fil-A once. In my defense, it was before anyone knew what douches they are.

...You want someone awkward to talk to and crack jokes about things. I get really skittish around people who are not-so-subtle with things like UR SO CUUUTE or CHAT ME UP K, but do enjoy a good, friendly conversation.

Sometimes conversation is all I want, but if I'm interested in more, the kind of guy I like shares similar interests, has a pretty playful sense of humor, doesn't take things too seriously, and is confident about who and what they are. Also they have to enjoy cuddling.
