Happy to be here and excited about the opportunity to meet a quality man who is also looking for someone to share their life with. Originally from upstate New York, North Carolina has been my home for 10 great years. I moved here to pursue graduate studies at UNC after studying, living and working in WDC for 8 years and living in France as an exchange student for one year. During my time here, I have been adopted by many Great Danes and I am currently owned by one. I have learned to play rugby, now I play soccer, I have attempted contra dancing on more than one occasion and most recently danced a Flash Mob for a Roaring 1920s party in 4 inch heels without falling. I have enjoyed the beaches, the mountains and lakes. I love a good haunted house, comedy clubs, and anything that makes my heart race. I like to have fun and I will try anything once. I pick a restaurant based on their desserts and I am not shy about eating!

I would be happiest with an intelligent, sexy, romantic, physically fit/active man who I can respect, admire and adore. Confidence and the ability to laugh at himself is a must. Make me laugh, tell me the truth and teach me something new and you will have the key to my heart. It won't matter what we're doing because we enjoy each other and have the freedom to be ourselves. At the end of the day, I will cherish you. If you happen to have a bad day or are dealing with some challenge, I'll have your back.

I care that you are happy, pursuing your goals and dreams, have a purpose, and act with integrity because you want to and not because you should. A strong character and a kind heart are more important to me than status or material things and they are non-negotiable. I am interested in someone who treats people well and who treats himself, his family and his friends well on a daily basis.

I am working hard and playing hard. A lot of my free time is spent running, swimming, reading, writing and playing with new friends and family and working on my house. I invest a lot in those that I am close with. I have a 5 year old son who is with me 60% of the time and we are working on reading and writing when we're not walking the dogs, playing soccer, riding bikes or having fun out and about. I also enjoy a considerable amount of quiet time and I am especially fond of naps on the weekends!

It turns out I am really good at teaching statistical software without electricity in three languages at once, one of which I never spoke before.

I will read just about anything and my favorite movies are Gone with the Wind, Office Space, The Patriot, Enemy of the State, Hotel Rwanda, The Last King of Scotland, Blood Diamond, and Pride and Prejudice. I enjoyed Luther, The Office (BBC and American versions), Dexter, Law and Order, House, Angel, and Lie to Me. My taste in music is horrible, but I am consistent:) My favorite foods are sweet and I enjoy most cuisine.
