I am boom, boom, and boom, say wayoh!.

My Self-Summary

I am a nineteen year old Scottish girl. Possibly too young to be on here! But hey-ho.

What I’m doing with my life

I left high school in Summer 2008. Was not half terrified about it but the apocalypse hasn't quite dawned yet, so it's all good.

I'm just taken what is known often as a gap year... but without y'know, money! So no exciting travel or anything, as I much as I wished that was an option. Instead, I worked and tried to officially grow up and such.

I'm now studying at the University of Edinburgh on a course that is known as "Social Policy and Social and Political Studies." It's all very interesting, I assure you.

I’m really good at

Coming up with a mildly witty retort. Recalling obscure pop music facts about various songs and bands from mostly 1980s and 1990s, despite the fact I was either a child or not even born throughout most of that period, acting quite nerdy but feeling not quite intelligent enough to fulfil the stereotype. Oh, and spending perhaps a tiny bit too much time on the internet. Which not many people admit but I prefer being honest.

Procrastinating. I should probably be studying right now.

The first things people usually notice about me

That i'm rather shy when first meeting people, but can hold a conversation based on whim and wit. Because overall, I think I come across as a nice person. And if I like someone, I always make the best of efforts to talk to them.

People can possibly think i'm standoff-ish because i'm rather reserved and shy when we initially meet. But I tend to think that those who are similar, or understand my nature can suss what i'm all about quite quickly.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Despite not being a literary mogul, I do enjoy reading a lot when I find the right book. My favourite book is Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell. A book I have about four or five times in the last few years. I also enjoy reading plays, including the more campy efforts of Shakespeare and especially those authored by Tennessee Williams. Sometimes you just want nothing more in a character than a good faded and possibly drunken Southern belle with a rose-tinted view of past...

I have recently realised that most of my favourite films are quite cheesy and are mainly fantasy comedy. Meaning that favourite film of all time is actually Big starring Tom Hanks. Yeah! I also enjoy the original Star Wars trilogy immensely. And my favourite classic film is A Streetcar Named Desire. I've recently been renting a lot of stuff because of the convenient branch of Blockbusters and have got a bit into foreign films, Disney Pixar and Woody Allen, though there's still a lot of ground to cover there.

TV wise... I tend to enjoy comedy mostly (examples currently include 30 Rock and Arrested Development) Though i'm also very drawn to quiz shows to I can get my trivia on. I like documentaries on history or politics as well.

My taste is music can't easily be summed up in one of these things. I know that people say that there's is eclectic but mine is well, a mess. It's probably best just to have a gander at my last.fm page: www.last.fm/user/TetrisRock

The six things I could never do without

Music, entertainment, tasks to conquer, a good sleep, time with other people, time to myself.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The past, the now, but mostly the future. In both apprehension and wonder.

But surely most of us are like that, I suppose?

On a typical Friday night I am

Either having a quiet night in with a film or a backlog of iPlayer programmes, or going out to pubs or clubs on occasion.

I tend not to drink heavily during the week though. I've had a terrible hangover in a tutorial and it was woeful, to say the least!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

That i'm sort of scared that I will never meet anyone else who gets me. Friend or partner or just... anyone.

You should message me if

You find my ramblings at all endearing rather than well, completely annoying.
