My self-summary
I'm a little shy, but will open up fairly quickly if you're open to a deep discussion. I'm always seeking to learn more about life and I deeply enjoy listening to the stories people tell about themselves.

Politics, theology and culture are some of my favorite subjects, though I am not looking for someone who necessarily agrees with me on any of them. I am very respectful of other points of view, and appreciate a healthy amount of push back.

I am looking for someone who is pretty independent, intelligent, and wants a relationship based on respect, affection, and healthy negotiation. I also appreciate a good sense of humor and the wisdom it takes to wield it well.
What I’m doing with my life
I am working in a rural community, and it is awsome.

Challenging myself.
I’m really good at
Plotting revolutions, singing the song of angry (not saying anything gender specific here, cuz... Just not...), and knitting.
The first things people usually notice about me
My baby face seems to hide a surprisingly dark sense of humor.
And, apparently, I pull off the lace and boots look well. *shrugs*
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Overall, I will read, watch, listen to, and eat almost anything, with the caveat that I am a little pickier with the books I read.

Books: Classics, like A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, other well crafted books. Lots of humorous writing, like David Sedaris' work and the novels of Douglas Adams and ilk. A good deal of historical and other non fiction (the Omnivore's Dilemma and others...), and the Bible (in the Greek though, as is doesn't always say what King James says it does...).

Shows: Anything with a twisted sense of humor, high quality storylines, or is just thought provoking in some way.
The six things I could never do without
Caffeine. That is all... With enough caffeine, I shall reign over all the earth...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Work and writing.

Incarnation. Transubstantiation. And Consubstantiation. The Trinity (no, seriously, what the heck is that?!?!?!)

Ways to develop more healthy food culture (among other things). Supporting local farmers, new ways of developing infrastructure, more ecologically friendly housing/building, and some stuff along those lines.

Finding good and/or unusual foods. If I haven't tried it yet, I would like to.
On a typical Friday night I am
... Up to something...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a ridiculously large scarf collection. And, now, I know how to make them...
You should message me if
If you can start a conversation with something a little more interesting than a lukewarm "heeeeeeeeeeeey." Seriously.

I do not, generally speaking, one to send out messages or notice if you rate me, so, write to me. I will usually respond to an email.
