My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was born at a very young age. Begat by Maurice and Felicia who raised a fine young boy who grew into a fine young man.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
🔼Leisure life
Traveler/wanderer/seeker. I work hard but at heart I am just a loafer and a slacker. And that's why I travel (just finished a trip to Indonesia & Japan this summer - country #47). Would love a partner who loves to slack (er, I mean, travel) as much as I do; day trips, international or otherwise. As much as I love the life that San Francisco offers, I love to leave San Francisco (forgive me).

🔼Work life
Love what I do and lucky to make money doing it. Self-employed tech consultant and instructor (private, corporate, academic). Lecturer at UC Berkeley/SFSU; started a nonprofit that teaches older adults the wonders of all things tech; do web and graphic design and fix sick computers.

But mostly preventing rogue Nigerians from corrupting my father's bank account.

🔼Misc sundry
Although from NY, SF is home, and although raised Jewish, don't practice and tend to lean toward universal nothing/everything-ness.

Have lived in SF for 16 years, firmly rooted. I do yoga (doesn't everyone, or at least say they do?), I eat healthy, but drink socially, see live music, go out in nature, have a solid group of friends, but have room for one more (was that cheesy? probably.).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
juggling, brewing beer (although I like vodka and Scotch/bourbon best), Scottish accent, really bad/good puns, speling, talking to animals, talking to myself, fixing/teaching tech, most yoga poses, not fist bumping you, telling you you're right.

absolutely nothing else.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I am not Tom Selleck.

And that I look like Joaquin Phoenix (for better or for worse). I used to get Kirk Cameron when I was a kid, but now that just creeps me out.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books/Authors::Tom Robbins, Vonnegut, Nick Hornby, Gary Shtynegart, The Holy Bible (love fiction), Middlesex, 100 years of solitude, Kiterunner, Dave Eggers, Fountainhead, Henry Miller. Currently reading two books about mindfulness (the irony is not lost on me).

Music::Rock and/or Roll, black keys, white stripes, tame Impala, foxygen, cage the elephant, heartless bastards, modest mouse, Zeppelin, clap your hands, LCD soundsystem, T Rex, morcheeba, Portishead, massive attack.

Movies::Wes Anderson, Todd Solondz, Coen Bros, PT Anderson, zucker brothers, etc. Love a good documentary.

TV::don't have cable but Netflix and the power of creative tech allows for watching of the usual suspects: breaking bad, Fargo, true detective Archer, jeopardy, walking dead, GOT, Masters of Sex, family guy, the yule log, 700 Club, Maude reruns.

Food and drink:: Healthy and conscious eater, but still a foodie (god I hate that word) and animal free. Love scotch, sake, make beer, drink coffee recreationally.

I have a Vitamix, make my own almond milk, granola and I pickle (I'm kind of a hippie who has nice things and bathes regularly and has a joyful cynical side).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Somehow this question eludes me as I hope "never to do without" anything and hope to be able to adapt when the Zombie Apocalypse goes down. But I understand the question is to get to know where one's impulses lie.

So here are some responses that may or may not be true:

cheese
vowels
my bible
extra bullets
my methadone
my full house box set
my frontal lobe
my ability to count to six
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Will my car fit in that spot?
What if Jimi Hendrix were still alive today?
Unicorns and kittens
My father's role in the Nigerian economy
Technology: utopian neutralizer or spiritual vacuum
Less and less as possible

How to work more
How to work less
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Darning my socks.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I hate travel, dogs and Breaking Bad.

(Just joshin', these are things I love, in fact!)

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're an easy-on-the-eyes, easygoing, sweet, sensitive, edgy, soulful, positive, humble, impassioned, liberal, funny, sometimes crude woman who can laugh at my jokes, make me laugh and make me think.

My profile was once accused of being too "comical" to want anything serious, so want to make it clear (in the most un-funny terms), yes, looking for the real deal. [laugh track]
