My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Capricious, I think maybe because I used to live near Capri. Also fairly distractible and impulsive, but it's only because I want to take everything in (or at least that's my excuse at the moment).

I think 68-75 degrees is the perfect temperature range, I prefer to be barefoot, and I'm usually comfortable sitting on the floor.

I like lending a helping hand and am always trying to move forward/improve in some way or another. I call out mistakes and will argue most stuff, but it's usually because I want to converse in a rich way, rather than because I'm angry or incited.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I tend to be a workaholic (whether it's 'real work' or online self-ed). This leads to me studying work intensely, becoming bored, then wanting something new, which explains why I've hopped around with jobs and served in more capacities than most folks my age.

Since I got my BS in 2011 I've been a tech support analyst for a math software company, a research analyst and then a professional services analyst for a telecom research company, a network engineer for a gov't contractor, a business analyst consultant working with a few fortune 500 companies, and now I'm a support services analyst for an online marketing management software company.

Generally just enjoy taking things apart (arguments/systems/applications/business processes), finding what's off, fixing it, then repackaging.

Outside of that I bury my nose in both fiction and nonfiction, watch too many movies, enjoy playing video games, casually make music, travel to new destinations or old friends, and try out new bars/restaurants/concerts/hiking spots/teaorcoffee shops. you know, that sort of stuff. Also have some bigger goals I'm working towards, but those are life plan things that I don't feel are public domain.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being unflinchingly honest when it's needed. Finishing your sentence or rewording your thoughts. Multitasking and giving logical advice. Adapting to unexpected change and keeping a cool head.

Swimming out into the ocean farther than you. This is the first time I've lived farther than about 30 minutes from the beach, which is bothersome.

I can sing well, write songs decently, and play the guitar passably. (quality probably descends in that order, see example)

Once I care about something enough to put a substantial amount of effort into either learning or doing said thing, I generally do well with it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My invariably stupendous charm and wit of course... probably my height and skinniness, followed closely by facetiousness.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
body of water
more to learn
more to see
more to do
more to be
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
various industrial complexes, crime, language, politics, human and animal behavior, inequality, education reform, economics. where to go on my next trip. what book to read next. overthinking some article I read on reddit, the guardian, or nytimes. reflecting on life decisions, either past or future. various things that don't make any sense, or things that make sense to me that don't make sense to others. how to fix things. why things aren't already fixed. moving to Australia or Canada or Denmark even though I've not been to any of those places yet.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
roping a group of strangers into playing pool with me and then bar hopping with them for the next 5 hours, or watching the entirety of netflix/video games with far away friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In 2006, I won Time magazine's person of the year award.

I think the Big Bang Theory is absolutely awful.

If a dog is near me I'll probably have a really rough time paying attention to you instead of the dog.

you're intelligent (you don't have to be wicked smaht, just be interested in learning/knowing things and have views that agree with reality), you have a good sense of humour, you don't mind someone that occasionally spells things in the style of the queen, being attractive doesn't hurt, nor does having an awesome taste in books, music, and movies, or liking games of all kinds.

or if i've sent you some inquisitive slew of questions or a novella of a message and you'd rather just grab tea or play a few games of pool.
