My self-summary
I just graduated for a University in the UK and am about to embark on a bit of a career experiment. I have a lot of friends overseas and am BIG into traveling. I'm planning on going visiting!! I like to be outside, gardening and walking/ light hiking. I miss living in a place where I can walk to anything I need. I'm a bit of a dreamer, but I do have common sense and a personal code of ethics and I am HELLA stubborn. Because I grew up in a rather populous and noisy environment (I'm Irish-Catholic, my extended family is therefore HUGE) my stories are fairly flamboyant and exaggerated... and loud... but ultimately very entertaining!! I love my family (extended and otherwise) and enjoy spending time with them.
As far as dates go, I would much rather grab my telescope and go star gazing, or do something creative than blow a bunch of money going to a trendy restaurant. That said, every once in a while a fancy meal is VERY nice... and I am on a bit of a mission to go to every Steven Starr restaurant in Philly... I enjoy cooking, and I make a mean roast, so if you like traditional Sunday dinner, message me and I will make you fat with Pork crackling/ scratchings.

I feel that i should be completely forthcoming and say that I believe that romantic relationships are a team effort. Everything I have seen and experienced supports this hypothesis. I am NOT looking for someone who will be nice to me and take care of me (although if I'm sick, that would be lovely) I am looking for someone who will challenge me intellectually, argue with me if it is warranted, support me when life's challenges get overwhelming, be my partner in crime/ life/ eating Ben & Jerry's in bed while watching movies, and let me do the same for them. A partnership... with lovely lusty benefits. That said, I do not do relationship drama... just as a matter of course. I will not stir things up for the sake of creating drama, and I would appreciate the same courtesy. And I love to cuddle. Just saying.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm trying to get 2 years worth of professional acting experience under my belt so a college will hire me to teach Shakespeare... which is my life's passion. I am hoping that in the mean time I can find a job teaching theatre... just anywhere. And cliche alert... I'm a waitress... UPDATE: I'm doing a bit of directing which I hope will encourage a nearby college to employ me as an adjunct professor/ guest director/ their bitch for a semester. GOD! I miss academia SO MUCH!!!
I’m really good at
Shakespeare and working with children. I am hoping that I can combine these talents and start a company that goes to schools doing Shakespeare's comedies for children. I'm also a pretty good singer. I have also been told that I'm quite funny... not funny looking, just funny. ;) And I give GREAT hugs. Several people have said so, and I don't think it is something people usually comment on... so it must be true!!
The first things people usually notice about me
It might be the laugh... If I laugh really hard I snort... And If I get nervous, my ability to filter/ edit what I'm saying decreases dramatically. I turn into a Pandora's box of verbosity. Not so great.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Book: the book thief
Movie: anything old, but especially Roman Holiday
Show: Once Upon a Time... don't judge
Music: calming, slightly folksy stuff. Lisa Hannigan, Mumford and Sons, Nick Drake etc.
Food: FOOD!! My Vietnamese flat-mate once gave me a candied chicken foot, and I ate it. It was actually pretty good... mind you, that was on one of those rare occasions when I was well and truly sloshed... but I think if offered, I would try it again sober.
The six things I could never do without
My family
My WONDERFUL friends
Complete works of Shakespeare
Complete Sherlock Holmes
My garden
I spend a lot of time thinking about
real estate and home improvement... I'm a total whore for HGTV and DIY networks. I don't even have a house, I just keep trying to force home improvement projects on my parents. Yes, I still live with them. I also spend a lot of time thinking about how wonderful it will be when I move out and no longer have to wake up to my Mother vacuuming at 7:00 on a Saturday.
I also spend a great deal of time thinking about "The Winter's Tale" and Shakespeare's other romances... I'm trying to write a paper on them... :)
On a typical Friday night I am
asleep, or watching TV wishing my friends and I didn't have such different work schedules, and were thus able to go do SOMETHING!!!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like to sit in my bathtub with the shower and overhead heater on and watch documentaries. The shower head is over the bathtub... just to clarify. It is like being in a warm rain; surprisingly pleasant.

  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 25–32

You should message me if are an intelligent, well mannered man, if you know what you're about, enjoyed attending lectures at University. If you have ambitions and are motivated to achieve them, especially if those ambitions have nothing to do with monetary gain. If you like home made dinners. If you enjoy a good cuddle.
