I am the music man, I come from far away, and I say oompa oompa....
My Self-Summary
I'm an adopted Sheffielder, I've lived here since uni. I go out
lots, and live life for the moment and I have a great time. I love
live music, film, friends, etc etc.
What I’m doing with my life
I work 9-5, it's in IT so I don't really talk about it, it's to do
with new buildings, which is a cooler side of it but it's still
dull to most people so I don't really talk about it. It just pays
for me to do the stuff I like the rest of the time.
I do some
DJing, I
spend alot of time helping out a Sheffield band, I can't actually
play anything though. I go to the
cinema and watch alot of film, I have too
many DVD's and CD's. I like to read but barely have the time!
I’m really good at
making roast potatoes, they're amazing, even if I do say so myself.
I consider myself as a decent cook, but my roasties are worth
shouting about.
The first things people usually notice about me
Apparently I look a bit like Max from Hollyoaks, I disagree.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Top 3 films are quite laddy but I can watch them over and over,
Matrix, Fever Pitch and The Italian Job (original of course). But I
do love loads for different reasons.
My favourite books are Nick Hornby ones, Fever Pitch and High
Fidelity, but I do love Soft by Rupert Thompson, The Damned United
by David Peace and a few others.
Music, I do love all sorts, mostly rock and indie, but some good
folk, electro, world music or pop gets me tapping my feet too.
The six things I could never do without
I'm an iPhone convert, I couldn't live without one, I don't know
how people used to survive without them.
If this was a desert island discs question then I'd need solar
chargers and network coverage too, but I'm guessing it's not.
So friends, family, internet,
live music,
good food and my iPhone.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to do next, as much as I love a quiet night in, I prefer to be
thinking about what fun thing I can do next, whether it be a trip
in the UK or abroad, or an
art exhibition, or a gig, or
comedy, or
meeting up with
friends.
On a typical Friday night I am
off to a gig, or some
comedy, or catching up with friends in
town. I don't live for the weekend as I go out and do stuff all the
time but Fridays are a good to catch up with everyone who does
You should message me if
you're not a loon, you like a
good debate, you like a laugh,
you're not leading people on, you want to see if I'm none of the
above!
