So, the first time I wrote this it was a bit bland. I decided to
redo it. I am Baltimore born and raised and went to college on the
I have been described as crazy, goofy and mischievous which I
accept as the highest of compliments. I am always finding something
to get into hiking, taking photographs in creepy abandoned asylums,
rock climbing. There are very few activities I would say "No" to
outside of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.
I am extremely extroverted. If you take me to a party where I don't
know anyone, I will have made 4 friends by the end of the night. I
think I just fake it well and that my lack of shyness is just a
product of my complete inability to understand tact or
embarrassment. A lot of times though, if I had my preference, I
would stay in with a movie or a good book.
If I wrote anything else, I am pretty sure no one would read this
so I might as well quit while I am ahead. Ask me if you want to
What I’m doing with my life
Right now? Job hunting for a good career path that allows me to go
back to school for my masters in ecology and expand my career into
something other than some lackey. I am an ambitious person and in
life sometimes you have to take big risks to reap big rewards and I
don't settle. Though! While I am seeking, I am also tutoring
students, engaging in talks with scientists on better construction
practices, writing grant proposals (maybe), taking an online course
and staying sharp.
I’m really good at
science. LOL I am a bit of a science geek. I just spent my time
during a hurricane analyzing fluid dynamics of precipitation in my
neighborhood. I'm a trivia buff but not great at it. I'm great at
making friends and meeting new people. I am a decent kayaker. I'm a
horrible runner but I do it anyway. LOL. I'm a decent climber too!
I am really really good at trying out new things.
The first things people usually notice about me
My friend Greg just said, "your breasts". I hope it is actually my
smile and personality. Oh and my signature squeak of a laugh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite book series is Dresden Files so science fiction iis a
big influence. My favorite book of all time though is Agatha
Christie's Murder on the Orient Express and Sir Arthur Conan
Doyle's Sherlock Holmes Volumes 1 and 2. Wicked was also a really
good book. I read through most of the Of Fire and Ice series (Game
of Thrones) but I got bored by the time I got to A Dance with
Dragons because I didn't get to read about my favorite characters
for an entire book! Needless to say, I love to read.
My favorite movies? Action Adventures/ Fantasy/Some Horror I'm not
overly enthused by dramas or chick flicks but the occasional mind
scramble movies are awesome. Seriously, talk to me about it, I
probably have seen it or want to see it.
My favorite tv show changes. I have watched all Doctor Who,
Supernatural, Bones, Kitchen Nightmares, Survivor and Numb3rs is my
newest. Netflix is addicting and should come with a warning
I love music as I said. I love all sorts of music! I love crooners,
Louisiana bayou cajun blues, swing music, orchestra music, I've
seen 40(?) musicals since I was 10, I was a gogo dancer for raves
and love EDM, I like selective rap music, I am big on pop music
(just don't tell). I recently went to a Peter Gabriel concert and
the show was AMAZING! He is such a showman. I suggest if you want
to know what sort of person I am, watch his Secret World tour on
Youtube. It is a pretty good hit on my personality. It is a little
nutty, a lot of fun, a bit eclectic, very eccentric. Oh and I love
P!NK...that's right... don't judge. lol
Food. I love good fresh food with flavor but I like good steak and
potatoes too! My stomach cannot deal with that whole raw foods fad
but I do enjoy vegetarian dishes and vegan dishes as well as a good
slice of venison from when my brother goes hunting. Actually of
meat, I would say my preferences are venison and lamb. I am always
out to try something new! Oh I love sweets and chocolate...did I
mention coffee? oh yeah..totally a coffee drinker.
The six things I could never do without
This is an interesting question...hmm... LEt's see...my dog, my
friends, my family (for all of their faults I still love them),
dance, music and the outdoors...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything? I am very philosophically driven and so I spend a lot
of time thinking on morality and bettering myself as a human being
and what that may entail...I think about traveling and going after
a masters degree. I think about of all things that don't get
brought up at the dinner table.
The answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and
On a typical Friday night I am
I could be doing just about anything but sitting in my house.
Seriously I have some really amazing stories
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My house is a messy disgusting bachelorette pad.
