My Self-Summary

I've got friends, a job with meaning, a cuddly cat and an idealism for progress....really, I'm pretty happy. I just moved back to Madison from Milwaukee and would love to meet more pool-playing, assertive, intelligent, and sassy friends.

Also, I'm not the biggest fan of having to choose a "gender" on here...but it's set up pretty rigidly on this site - so I figured I'd give everyone a heads up about my gender-queerness and preferred gender pronouns (he, him, his).

What I’m doing with my life

I'm working with AmeriCorps*VISTA as a VISTA Leader with the Department of Public Instruction. Our program is focused on eradicating poverty through building community partnerships (among other things) where VISTAs serve as facilitators/community organizers within a community's school, district, community center or library.

Guitar, some sports, laughing, enjoying books, drag kinging...

Hmm...I'm not really sure. I'm pretty assertive and outgoing, so that could be something.

Food -
- I like food a lot: vegetarian-style
Thai, pizza, Indian, Middle-Eastern, East/West African, desserts, chocolate

- I'm kinda a folkie, classic rock, indie-rock, hip-hop kid:
chris pureka, ani d, lupe fiasco, neil young, tegan and sara, johnny cash, sufjan stevens, jenny lewis and the watson twins and more...
